New Additions to the UC 300 level: Madhouse on Madison

Here is a link to the new additions to the United Center this year. I called in to select my seats for my 11 game plan* and noticed a new addition to the seating chart in sections 312 and 329.

Apparently, they cut out rows 4-7 in sections 312 and 329 and have installed a bar area that has a view of the game. I, of course, took this as an opportunity to get my seats in row 1 of section 329. Kind of like the idea of a bar within 3 rows of my seats. Perhaps Patrick Kane requested these bars be installed for his family members and friends?

*BTW, if you are an 11 game plan holder or future buyer, call the Bulls now instead of mailing in your form. Many of the good seats are already gone for the weeknight package (which is awesome, BTW compared to the other 2 crappy plans)

Poll
Which of the following changes do you most see improving your Bulls watching experience?
Bars with views where I can do a shot after every TT 20 foot jumper
24 votes
A new lighting system that will highlight Deng's latest injury
2 votes
Floor to ceiling windows that will let you see the traffic in the parking lot as you leave
3 votes
Flat Screen Televisions that offer a better view of the Matadors
1 votes
Finally a moniker like "The Madhouse on Madison" (other option was the Animal House on Adams)

Better illumination for the aisles as you exit after a blown 23 point lead on the Nets

Tom Gorzelanny is Sloth from Goonies. Have you ever seen them in a room together? I think not. Still not convinced? Check out these incriminating photos:

Gorzesloth

and

Slothelanny

When asked for comment, Mr. Gorzelanny said, "Baby....Ruth?"

Peddlers to be banned from Wrigley Field area?

There is a push by alderman Tom Tunney to create a 2 block radius "no peddling zone". Peddlers aren't allowed on the grounds of Wrigley Field, but many brick and mortar businesses are losing their revenues to the peddlers.

Poll
Should alderman Tom Tunney enforce the new 2 block radius "no peddling zone" around Wrigley Field?
No, the vendors are not a problem.
65 votes
No, but police should be more vigilant making vendors mobile.
26 votes
Yes. Vendors should stay at least 2 blocks from Wrigley Field.

More reason to drink Jack Daniel's. I really hope he's not getting any compensation for this. Wonder if HWSNBN has it trademarked?

ST Holders offered Cubs-Yankees tickets for New Yankee Stadium.

Here is an email I just got from the Cubs. It's a nice "bone". I'm definitely in for 6. Wondering if other ST holders have success and how many tickets they get.

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

The Chicago Cubs are pleased to inform you that we have just received confirmation from the New York Yankees regarding purchasing opportunities for the first ever games at the New Yankee Stadium featuring the Chicago Cubs vs. the New York Yankees on Friday, April 3 at 7:05 EST and Saturday, April 4 at 1:05 EST.

The Yankees have set aside a limited number of tickets for both games. The tickets will range in price from $20-$45. Due to the close proximity of this offer with the actual game dates, we will need to obtain your response, if interested, by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16th.

Orders will be filled starting with the available $45 tickets. All tickets will be sold on a first come - first served basis. There will be a purchase limit of 6 tickets total per season ticket account. A $5 postage and handling charge will be added to all completed orders. If your order is filled successfully, the tickets will be mailed to you at the address you submit.

If you'd like to take part in this special offer, please reply back to this email (there will be no phone sales) no later than 5:00 P.M. on 3/16 with the following information:

1) Acct #
2) Name:
3) Street_______________________________
4) City_________________State____Zip_____
5) Credit Card #_____________________ exp. date______
6) Choice of Game:

7) Number of Tickets:
(please note that your total number cannot exceed 6)

Unfortunately we will not be able to quote specific locations or prices prior to your order being addressed. We will process all orders with the best available seats that we have at our disposal. It is our hope that we will be able to accommodate all season ticket holders that would like to take part in this offer. However, due to the limited availability of tickets, your reply does not guarantee that your order will be filled as we will be filling orders on a first come-first served basis. We will contact you within a few business days of the response deadline with an email letting you know whether your order was able to be filled.

Word has it that die hard Moises Alou fans are quite pissed off. Moises' hands, however, are exactly the opposite of pissed off.
