UCLA, UW, Arizona St and Cal will all be in the tourney.  Arizona winning their last two games and going into the semis of the PAC 10 tournament should punch their ticket.  Does Washington State or Oregon State have what it takes to win the PAC 10 tournament and get into the NCAA’s?  If Arizona looses to Cal and gets bounced in the first round of the PAC 10 tournament, does a Washington State after an upset of Washington (we hope) plus their win over our Bruins and Arizona State and potential 16 or 17 wins get  in?

Looking ahead on the schedule or Bruins will need to have quality games to be ready for tournament play.  It is pretty likely that we will be playing Oregon State and then maybe Washington State for our first two games in the PCA 10 tourney.  Both teams are playing pretty well right now.  The Beavers fancy themselves giant slayers and will throw everything they got at us on Thursday at Pauley.  But on a Thursday night at home I like our chances.  In the PAC 10 tournament however it might be a different story.  WAZU is hot enough that they could be our matchup in the semifinals.    So we need to look at going 4-0 against the Pacific Northwest in the next two weeks, setting up UW for the PAC 10 tournament championship and the right to stay in the west as a #3 seed.

PS:  I’m calling Washington State to upset Washington next weekend
