Training Camp Question
My wife and I were thinking of going to the packers Training Camp. We were wondering the the team charges for fans to see the practice?
Trade Question
I have been a follower of the Bucks for quite a few years.I was just wondering something.
I know this is probably a stupid question to begin with, but how does the trades in the NBA work exactly. I know that you have trade players to equal value and such, but I am kind of lost. If somebody out could please be nice enough and explain to what the teams need to do to get the trade to go though.
In advance--
Thank you to all the looked at this post
Direct Tv Question
Hello everyone--
I was wondering if somebody could help me out a little bit. I live out of the viewing area of the Viking(GB WI). I was looking on Directv sports pack. I was wondering do the Viking have game broadcast on there at all. Do I HAVE to go with NFL Sunday Ticket? This would be appreicated if I could get some help.
Thank you
o have to make this post 75 words. SKOL VIKINGS
Stupid Question:
Can a team with more points, but a worse overall record get a high seed in the playoffs?? I was just a little curious.
Badgers Hockey Tonight
So are any of you going to be watching the Badgers 1st game against Vermont. With the Badgers getting one of the #1 seeds in this years tourney.Wisconsin will be playing at the Excel Center(the Minnesota Wild home), so at least they do not have to travel very far. The Badgers just have to stay in their game tonight.Keep the pressure on Vermont by scoring goals, because the lone soft spot on this team in the goaltender. This is the 1st step for the Badgers to get back to the Frozen Four.
People Talking about hockey
I live in a non-NHL state(Wisconsin) and the only way I can watch teams I care about is by luck(comeback versus). I just think that it funny that the people that watched the Olympics wished that the NHL was that way. With the competitiveness. My thoughts were is that the NHL is especially during second half of the season and playoffs. In the playoffs is where the hared towards other teams reach the max. The NHL is one the same level as the Olymics, but the difference is that the Olympics teams are THE best in the world.
Maybe just maybe hockey might get some popularity back in the US. Let me know what you guys think.
I Still Cannot Believe It
Do you know what just drives me crazy from the outcome of the Super Bowl this season. It was the fact if the Vikes would have manhandled the Colts in this game. It was not meant to be in this season. I could go on how the Vikes defense was far more superior than the Saints defense. Not one but TWO goal line fumbles kept us(the Vikes) from going and winning the Super Bowl. All what ifs...can not do anything in this case. Now with offseason, the Vikes have to look forward and see who they want to keep and who they want to chop out of their roster.
Now with Favre debating his future to come back as the Vikes QB from season 20.
Schofield Tears ACL
According to ESPN, O'Brien Schofield has torn is ACL in practice for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL. This really was a really BIG hit for his draft stock. Because he had raised after the East-West Shrine Game.Schofield had three solo tackles and an interception while playing outside linebacker in the East's win over the West in Orlando on Saturday.
It looks like Schofield will be a LB in the NFL. Pro Scout were impressed by competitiveness and versatility. He was projecting in the 3rd round, now who knows what round or any he is drafted in. An ACL takes about 2 years to FULLY recover.
We in Badger Nation hope thatn
Rumorville:Jason Kendall
It looks like that Kendall did not want to finish his career as a Brewer after all. He was a little miffed last season, when he had to split time with Rivera.
The Royals signed catcher Jason Kendall to a two-year contract, according to a press release from the team. Kendall, 35, hit .241/.331/.305 in 526 plate appearances for the Brewers this year, catching 1,162 innings.
After this news it is going to be a fight on who will be the teams starting backstop.
Authentic Jersey. I was wondering if it would be worth it to get a Fielder for the Crew, should I get his All star jersey or go with Yovani? I you guys can let me know what you think please.
Other teams you follow
I was wondering if any of you follow another team as well as the Vikes during the season.
First Badgers Memory
I have been a Badgers fan since I really got into watching football. I was wondering what is the first memory of watching that Badgers that you guys or girls can recall. Mine would be the 1994 Rose Bowl when Badgers beat the Bruins 21-16.
I like the way that they ran the ball with power and persistence behine Brent Moss 158 yards in 36 carries with two touchdowns. As well as having a passing game withDarrell Bevel.
Hello everyone--
I am out of the Vikings listen area being 45 miles North of GB.I would like listen live via the internet, but I don't know where we can listen without signing up and paying for the feed
Thank you so much
Why Now?
Why did the Vikings wait till after the draft to address the QB situation? To me this just shows that Chilly has now business running an NFL team. Sure it is more than likely that Brett the Fairy will be a Viking. Farve has been PAST his prime for the past 5 years. Sure he had 1 magical season a couple years back. All I can see his him imploding the way he did with the Jets last season. Well at least Chilly will be gone next season then. The next coach will need to fix what he screwed up.
MLB/MiLB
I was listening to the radio this morning, and they were talking about baseball. They were saying that most people will proably opt to see a minor league game over a MLB game. My wife and i will be going down to Appleton this year to watch the Rattlers. We will not be spending a ton of money this year with the economic problems and all. I have attached a poll and was wondering who everyone will be going out and seeing this season.
Projected Starting Rotation-2009
I saw something this on TigerTales, so though I would try it out. The projections are shown in the table below of the projected starting rotation. I took the average of the ERA and the K/BB with the following systems: Bill James, CHONE, and Marcel. To give you a perspective on these stats for the Crew a year ago, the team ERA was:3.85 and K/BB 2.10.
With Yovani Gallardo missing most of the season with a knee injury, he is expected to pick up this pitching staff and lead them this season. In 4 starts last season, he had a 1.88 ERA and a 2.5 K/BB rate.It is not fair to say what he would have had. With the projections the Crew's ace is projected to have the lowest ERA and 2nd highest K/BB rate. The rest with the exception of Suppan is acceptable with ERA and K/BB. The spot where Suppan will is going to be hard on the offense. Considering that Crew will have to put up around 5 runs every 5th day. With McClung getting some chances to make the rotation this spring. I think that the Crew should move McClung to the 4 or 5 spot and sent Suppan to the bullpen.
Table of Pitching Projections
| Pitcher | ERA | K/BB |
| Yovani Gallardo | 3.56 | 2.65 |
| Dave Bush | 4.19 | 2.77 |
| Manny Parra | 4.20 | 2.14 |
| Braden Looper | 4.37 | 1.98 |
| Jeff Suppan | 4.96 |
1.51 |
| Seth McClung |
4.29 |
1.64 |
New Stadium Talk
I cannot believe it was this long until the stadium talk again. In the Star Trib, I do not want to see the VIkes moving to LA. It is looking like a very good possibility right now with the lease on the current stadium running out in 2011. Wilf said that he does not plan on moving or selling the team in the near future. The league is monitoring potential stadium developments in the Los Angeles area but has declined to comment on specific sites or teams that might move to the region. Roski's Majestic Real Estate Co. agreed with NFL officials not to make any formal overtures to team owners until Industry officials certified the plan, which they could do today at a city council meeting.
Ben Sheets??
With Ben Sheets still unsigned for the this upcoming season, it is quite interesting.I know that he has had injury issues in the past.He has proven over the years' to be a good starting pitcher. He was a All-Star pitcher last season so why not Brewers.I was wondering if anyone knows if the Crew is going after after him. If not him whom are they going to replace with the gapping hole in the starting pitching rotation?
