Pride Of Detroit What's the status of the POD group outing to Ford Field?

The POD group outing to the Lions-Jets game at Ford field is just over a month from now, on Sunday November 7th.  I paid for my ticket months ago but haven't heard much since.  Is the group outing still on?  How do I get my ticket?  How many have bought tickets?  Who wants to carpool?  I'm coming from Grand Rapids and was planning on picking up KDawg on the way.  Someone else had expressed interest in riding with us to the game.  Time is getting short and some of us have to make plans regarding days off and such.  What's up?

Pride Of Detroit Is anybody starting Yahoo Survivor and Pick'em Leagues?

Time is running out.  The season is about to start.  Is anybody starting up a Yahoo Survivor League or a Yahoo Pick'em League?  Those are fun.  I'd like to see us go head to head again this year.  There wasn't room for some of us last year.  I'll start one for each if I have to, but was hoping to be lazy and let someone else start them up, lol.  Let us know.

Go Lions!

Wow, I never thought I'd see the day.  A DT ranked 2nd in rookie jersey sales for the month of April.  Ndamukong Suh's #90 was 2nd in rookie sales last month.  Tim Tebow's #15 was 1st.  Sam Bradford's #8 was 3rd, and Eric Berry's #29 was 4th.  Dez Bryant's #88 was 5th among rookies.  Overall, Tebow was 1st and Donovan McNabb's #5 Redskins jersey was 2nd.

Pride Of Detroit Detroit Lions Positional Battle - ROLB

One of the more intriguing positional battles on the Lions right now is at ROLB.  With the trade of Ernie Sims to Philadelphia, there is no clear-cut successor to the starting job.  However, there are 3 promising candidates, each of whom has their supporters here at POD.  The evaluation process has already begun, with the arrival of Caleb Campbell at the rookie/FA OTA.  It promises to be an exciting battle all the way through the preseason.

Arrowhead Pride With the 50th pick in the Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select............

As was mentioned before, based on the majority opinion at Arrowhead Pride, GM Scott Pioli had already well-filled the "positional value" positions QB, LT, and DE.

As a result, this was going to be more of a purely "needs-driven" draft, similar to the NE pick of Jerod Mayo at #10 overall in 2008, with an emphasis on a safe pick that would fit the scheme.  The Chiefs had three major needs going into this draft:  NT, ILB, and safety.

With the picks of Eric Berry at #5 and Mt. Cody at #36, two of those three major needs have been filled, leaving only ILB as a major unfilled need.  Minor needs are WR-slot, OT-swing, OG-zone blocking, TE-blocking, and maybe OLB.  On to pick #50, also known as the "2b" pick at Arrowhead Pride.

Arrowhead Pride With the 5th pick in the Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select..........

Thanks to everyone here at Arrowhead Pride for their help in this!

First of all, my criteria for these picks is a combination of the 3 criteria I had asked POD's Sean Yuille about.  My picks for the Chiefs are based on a combination of Arrowhead Pride fan opinion, insight into the mind of Scott Pioli and what he might likely do (big thanks to the AP people on this), and my own evaluations of the individual players' skills and how they might fit that.

Arrowhead Pride I'm drafting for the Chiefs in the Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft!

Your SBN sister site Pride of Detroit is starting our Community Mock Draft and I asked (and was selected) to pick for the Chiefs!  My goal is to make realistic picks, based on the draft philosophy and offensive/defensive schemes of the GM and Head Coach, my own evaluations of which players have talent and fit those philosophies and schemes, and identification of team needs.  That's where you come in here at Arrowhead Pride.  I'm hoping you can help me by answering a few questions and giving me a better understanding of The Kansas City Chiefs.
Some of these questions I already have assumptions about, so you can help me confirm or rethink those assumptions.  Thanks in advance!
