this WAS greenwald200's temp./alternate profile, now I am going to use this one permenantly. Born in N.O. raised in Kenner, Mandeville, Abita, Baton Rouge for a bit, and Hammond. "I don't know how much (Ingram) impacts my decision because we haven't come to the table yet, we haven't sat down yet. That's something that me and my agent and the Saints have to collectively come together and talk about and just come to a happy medium. Obviously there's going to have to be some type of pay cut and some type of renegotiations and we'll do the best we can to come to a happy meeting point and hopefully I'll be able to play for the Saints for six, seven, eight - 10 more years."

Weekly Avatar Game

We should start a new thing here, (to break up the monotony of the off-season/lockout) We can have a new theme every week or so with what avatars we use. This week we can start with a "Saints...

Stampede Blue Chats With Colts Safety Chip Vaughn - Stampede Blue

If anyone cares about one of our guys playing on the Colts. Did he even play for us? Like actual gametime?

List of legitimate Super Bowl contenders

New Orleans Saints: They continue to add parts on defense. Had a very strong first round in the draft, finding two immediate impact rookies in defensive end Cameron Jordan and running back Mark Ingram. Expert coaching staff will thrive despite lockout. No Super Bowl hangover this year.

NFP Sunday Blitz

*Among the people who believe the Saints might have gotten a steal in the seventh round with defensive end Greg Romeus was his college coach. Former Pitt coach Dave Wannstedt, who now is the assistant head coach in Buffalo, told me Romeus reminds him of one of his undrafted players when he was with the Dolphins – Adewale Ogunleye. Like Ogunleye, Romeus’ draft stock fell precipitously after injuries. Romeus was considered to have third round talent prior to his senior year. Wannstedt believes Romeus, like Ogunleye, has the intangibles and ability to overcome his injuries and surprise a lot of people.

Ultimate Team Rankings - ESPN

from a previous Fanshot, here's the actual list and "reasonings"

10 players to track this summer | National Football Post

6. Jimmy Graham, TE, New Orleans Saints: SLEEPER ALERT! Jeremy Shockey’s departure has opened the door for the 6-6, 260-pound former Hurricane basketball player to emerge as the No. 1 tight end in New Orleans. Graham scored four touchdowns in the Saints’ final five games last season, is very athletic and has the size to become a ferocious red zone target. Expect to hear his name in conjunction with the word "sleeper" a whole lot this summer. Current ADP: Not listed in the top-15 at Mock Draft Central. Expect that to change in a hurry. 3. Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints: There’s a reason the Saints traded back into the first round to land the former Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama. When New Orleans won the Super Bowl back in 2009, the team ranked 6th in the NFL in rushing offense (131.6 yds/gm) and averaged 31.9 points per game. During their failed title defense in 2010, the Saints ranked 28th in rushing (94.9 yds/gm) and scored only 24.0 points per game. If Ingram wins the starting gig, expect him to get a lot of carries at an excellent price. Current ADP: 68.50

Saw this on a couple other SBN sites recently and decided to share. Pretty much all it is is some screen shots from "pasta padre's" facebook, there's only a few only 1 is actually from...

CSC Lockout-End Pool

Taking bets for when you think the lockout will end. Ok doesn't really have to be bets, but we'll make it "bragging rights" (if you can even call it that) Give us an exact date and time so we can...

The NFL Zombie Apocalypse

Pretty interesting read- one of the better Yahoo 'Contributor Network' posts I've seen.

NFL Top 100 vs. Peter King

If you've been following NFL Network's "Top 100 Players" or at least been following here at CSC, you're pretty up-to-date on what's going on. I've always been a fan of Peter King's (Sports...

Potential WR Free Agents

With the possibility of losing Lance Moore to free agency, we could possibly looking for that number 2 or 3 WR that could fill that gap. Sure we have Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson, and of...

Reggie Bush: Slotback

Reggie Bush was drafted as a running back/halfback/tailback (whatever you prefer), but why don't we start referring to him more of what his characteristics make him out to be: the "Slotback". And...

Don't know how reliable this "source" is, but if so...WOOO!

Pros/cons of a lost or shortened NFL season

4. Worst: Fewer chances to watch New Orleans Saints offensive madman Sean Payton call plays, particularly now that he has a between-the-tackles running back in rookie Mark Ingram

Power Rankings: Top 10 toughest venues

Superdome ranked number number 6 "New Orleans' Superdome was the highest-ranked indoor venue, coming in at No. 6. "

How Did Marshawn Lynch Not Get Fined?

I know it's kinda late now, but when Marshawn Lynch torched the Saints defense to essentially win the game for the Seahawks, he made a quite vulgar gesture in his celebration: via c...

Sharper looking at the lockout from all angles

"Even as Darren Sharper discussed how fresh he feels, and how ready he is to extend his highlight-filled pro career to a 15th season, he allowed himself to utter the word, "retirement.""

Green Bay Packers are best NFL organization in 2011 rankings - Saints # 2

2. New Orleans Saints: 55.5 Owner: 9 Quarterback: 9.5 Coach: 8.5 Front office: 9.5 Coaching staff: 9 Intangibles: 10 Even during a work stoppage, the Saints have sold every ticket for next year. Owner Tom Benson has provided the club with stability and staying power in New Orleans. I never thought I would write that in 2004. Mickey Loomis is an aggressive, savvy general manager. Drew Brees is not only a great quarterback, but the ultimate team leader and representative in the community. HECK YEAH!

Lots of Fair Weather NFL Fans Out There | The Big Lead

Interesting, I saw this (on the side of CSC's main page) and decided to see if they had anything about the Saints (which they did): "•The Saints saw three times as many people claim them as the favorite team, compared to any other time over the last 19 years"

Shaquille O'Neal retires after 19 seasons in NBA

I know I know, but he went to LSU, does that count for anything?
