New Head Coach, after Warriors are Sold?
With the Warriors going up for sale a whole new ball game is about to begin. I was reading a story over at Hoopsworld that gave some insight on what could happen with the warriors coaching situation for next year. As I read this I almost forgot how Avery Johnson coached the Dallas Mavericks right to the Finals right after Don Nelson left.
It was about this time that my mind started drifting off into another world where Avery Johnson and Larry Ellison's San Fransisco Warriors were facing the Orlando Magic in the 2011 NBA Finals. Did I mention that due to Larry Ellison's winning attitude Lebron James signed with the Warriors to play with his BFF Steph Curry and we also picked up David Lee for rebounding and offensive presence inside in Free Agency. Leaving us with this Lineup for Next season
Curry/ Watson
Ellis/ Morrow / Williams("Sir Reginald" Himself)
Lebron/ AzzaBook (Maggete and Turiaf are part of the sign and trade for Bron)
David Lee/ Randolph/ Wright / Tolliver
(Healthy) Biedrins/ Favors/ Hunter
I am sorry I just lost my mind there for a moment, but how awesome would it be to have Avery Johnson teaching young Curry how to be the man at Point Guard! While the whole Lebron thing might be unrealistic I don't know if us having a new coach next year would be?
If not Nelson next year then who?
This is from that Hoopsworld Article:
While the Warriors are making a new start, they might as well make it a clean sweep. They have several solid head coaching candidates on their existing bench, with Keith Smart and Stephen Silas (son of Paul Silas) already in town. They might even do well to get into the Avery Johnson sweepstakes this summer, particularly with a young point guard to mold in Stephen Curry. One way or the other, improving the Warriors isn't just about the front office. They have a ton of very good young talent that needs to be molded, and certainly has the potential to be a group that becomes a perennial playoff team.
I love the sound of "Perennial Playoff Team", Don't You?

Miami Interested in Stephen Jackson Trade
A recent headline from Hoopshype.com stated
Ric Bucher: League sources: Add Miami to the teams interested in Stephen Jackson. And, according to a Jackson source, add Miami to his preferred list. Twitter.com
As much as I would love to laugh at the idea of Jackson getting traded to somewhere like Charlotte where he can really think about what a fool he has made himself out to be here in GS, I also see the mutual benefits of a trade with Miami.
For Miami they get a seasoned vet in Jackson who knows how to win, when motivated, and is a consistent player as well as defender, again when motivated. D-wade and Jack both have rings and both want more. When you look at the current SF in Miami, Q-Richardson, the need is definitely there for improvement. I really think that teamed up with an uber-scorer like D-wade, Jackson would truly help the Heat get deep in the playoffs.
As far as the salary goes, Miami has no worries. Next year they are only paying out 24 million, and have loads of room to sign free agents as more than half of there team is on expiring contracts. Absorbing Jackson's 3 year deal would not be that bad, especially, if it helped them draw other talent next year in the "Free Agent Blitz-Summer of Lebron and Friends." Who knows maybe Lebron, Dwade, and Jackson might play together in Miami next year, haha.
As for Golden State, we could really use an expiring contract and some help down low in the rebound department. I know that there have been injuries, and Randolph has yet to be unleashed, but we are seriously lackiing in low post help. The last two games have been brutal and I am not sure how much longer I can take it. WE SUCK AT REBOUNDING.
I looked up some trades on the The Mighty Trade Machine of ESPN and the most attractive one I found actually seemed realistic.
Stephen Jackson for Udonis Haslem Str8 up! http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ko962o
We are trading a starting SF for a back-up PF with an expiring contract, as Haslem is due 7 million this year. Even if it does not work out in GS after this year Haslem can re-sign with the Heat to play with Lebron, Dwade, and Jackson ;) And we are 7 million dollars closer to signing an All-star.
For the rest of this year however, we get someone who can rebound and score, but more importantly teach our guys how to rebound. Even if the Haslem deal doesn't happen I truly think there are a number of deals Miami could work out with GS that could benefit both sides.
I would be extremely happy with any expiring contracts to give us some space for next year when I convince Lebron (and Dwade) to come play with his friend Stephen Curry here in Oakland. That way I can still laugh at Jackson when he is gone ROFL [sweet pirate voice] "Keep watch for hurricanes down there Captain Jack, I here they aRRRRRe mighty destructive in da Caribbean." You know like your mouth and your ego!

Ellis and Jackson Trade?
Well I guess Jackson still really wants to leave and now Ellis thinks that it is just not going to work with Curry in the backcourt. Why? It is just not going to work people "I am Monta Ellis I ride mopeds and do what ever I feel like doing, I don't have any regrets I am just like my big brother Stephen Jackson! Thanks bro for teaching me the ropes on how to be a savvy, non-collegiate, business shark who looks after number one!"
So it seems that two out of three of the Warriors captains (Big thanks to the Latvian Prince on not falling in with the wrong crowd) have decided it is just "not going to work" in Oakland. Ellis publicly ridiculed the idea of having two small gaurds in the back court because sometimes, The game is eventually going to slow down."
The only thing that needs to slow down is the ridiculous ego's that belong to Jackson and Ellis. Are you Jordan and Pippen, or something? Have you been able to do anything for the Warriors that has been productive besides declare a need for a trade?
Speaking of a trade....hmm... It seems that I have been investigating possible ways of disposing the rubbish that is stinking up Oakland. How about a deal with the Suns and we bring back a fan favorite and an Allstar for Ellis and Jackson. Check this trade out and see if would benefit the Dubs or should we just let our ego-centric duo run Golden State into the ground for the rest of the year?

This is for Monta Ellis, Cap Jackson, Acie Law, Speedy Claxton to the Phoenix Suns for
Amar'e Stoudamire and Jason Richardson (A Golden State Legend)
I know this is unlikely but it is possible and think of what the Warriors could do with this! Let me know what your thoughts are on the trade and we will see if any shipment is in the near future for the Bay Area Brats?
Dallas and Cuban Looking For Trade
According to the Dallas Mavericks Team Report (which I must say is difficult to read as a Warriors Fan) the Mavs have over booked their team roster with 17 players are openly looking for a two-for-one trade across the league. "The word is that owner Mark Cuban would like to reduce [the roster number] it before camp gets started on Sept. 28 and the plan is to trade center Nathan Jawai and swingman Shawne Williams in a two-for-one deal, according to ESPN."
Well Mark have I got a deal for you. A certain "Captain" Jackson has conveniently made it know throughout the land that he would love to come play for you in Dallas to help you in your futile pursuit of a championship. After having saved Jackson from himself, paid him millions of dollars, and provided the best (and only) fan-base he has ever had, he has decided a life of mutiny as the "Captain" and is now hoping to jump ship. Thanks Captain, for an inspiring Oscar performance were you portrayed a thankful Leader of the 'We Believe' only to show your true colors when the contract was signed and dated. Well I say farewell and Good Riddance, the future of the Warriors lies in the hands of our youth, and you my friend lost your nimbly bimbly days many moons ago.
So Mr. Cuban check this deal out that gives you an expiring Speedy Claxton contract with A "Jack" of a Captain to lead you to "Victory"...psst...(Disregard the Warriors 29 wins last season, that had nothing to do with Jackson). Just go to the ESPN trade machine so you can avoid the legal red tape, its really easy check for yourself. Hopefully we can get this trade done quickly because I was really hoping to get these guys over here before training camp so the team can really MESH. Thanks Cubester can't wait for the deal.

If you have any other ideas of getting rid of Captain Betrayal, Leave your comments and ideas on how to improve the team below to eventually win a championship. I wish they had a Management Trade Machine on ESPN.
PS I know it has already been posted but I love this video and I am so excited to see
where Anthony "THE REAL DEAL" Randolph can take us in the future.
