Glad to see JT get the credit he deserves. Also of note, while Zach did not get on the LB list, there is a comment about how he barely got edged out.

From Miami Herald's Jeff Darlington:

http://www.miamiherald.com/845/story/803445.html

This is a pretty good read, but some interesting notes I found from here include:

More than anything, this performance seemed to be a matter of well-executed preparation from earlier in the week. Rookie wide receiver Davone Bess, who caught nine passes for 74 yards in his second NFL start, said he never felt like the Bills did anything to cause any confusion for Miami's offense.

''They lined up exactly how we thought they would,'' Bess said. ``I think that helped a lot with our confidence. We saw what we saw in practice all week. It helped with our comfort level.

This sounds like the coaches did a great job game-planning for the Bills. Also, back in the pre-season when we looked terrible with penalties once again, Sparano noted that his biggest concern was penalties and we were going to focus on that. We now rank 10th with least amount of penalties and 14th in yards.

After the Patriots debacle, his next emphais was Special Teams. Last week we showed that we could not only not lose a game from Special Teams place, but help out with Special Teams. It seems when our coaches put their mind to fixing a problem with our team, that you can be assured they will put massive effort into getting it fixed. My confidence in this team and the coaching staff is at an all-time high from the previous years.

Push For Durant Brooks

Georgia Tech P Durant Brooks

As a Die-Hard Georgia Tech fan, I have been able to watch Durant Brooks punt the ball TOO MANY times, but he's got an amazing leg, and he's very consistent. I'm a firm believer that having a good punter is crucial to the field position game.

And the way Miami has been playing lately on offense, it may be a good idea to secure a good punter (Brandon Fields just didn't look consistent enough for me last year, even though I know he's just a rookie).

Oh yeah..he was also the Ray Guy Award Winner this year. Here's a film teaser of what Durant can do.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ut2FA9xGkfY
