Rock Chalk Talk KU's Future.

Right now as a Kansas fan it really hurts. But the one thing I keep telling myself is that sticking with these boys through the tough times will make Championships seem so much better. Right now Iam just trying to quit thinking about this bitter sweet season. And look forward to KU BB next year. I know it seems really early but its the only thing that can relax me. So here are a few thoughts to chew on for next year. I would like to here your thoughts on the matter too. I will go in order of what I think is least to most important.

 7) Will X leave for the NBA? To me he should stay because he can improve his game and status overall so much next year. Just look at the Morris twins.

6) Will Conner Teahan or C.J. Henry both get more playing time? The reason I bring up Teahan is because I still remember the always infamous Moody. lol. But with C.J. getting more playing time that could tempt X to come back just like what the Griffen bro did in OK.

5) Will Tyshawn Taylor transfer? Its hard to tell at this point but my guess is he will stay because he became a starter again. But would not surprise me with everything that has happened this year.  And with Elija right behind him and looking to make a push for a starting time.

4) Who is going to redshirt? With so much talent on the team and big time recruits always coming in someone will redshirt. My guess would be Withey, Woolridge or maybe even Taylor. I will give my reasoning later on Withey. Taylor could use a year of practice IMO to work on his shot and game in general. And thats not just for todays game. Its been all season. And with Woolridge just too many guards in front of him.

3) With so many guards/SG Taylor, Reed, Brady, C.J., Elija, Releford, Woolridge and not to mention the possibility of either recruits in Brandon Knight or Selby or hell even X. Who are the odd men out? With the chance of nine guards who will play? Another sign that Taylor could leave. Reed and Brady are not going anywhere. Elija and Releford deserve chances to play. Woolridge will prolly redshirt. C.J. I just dont see getting much time.

2) Will Cole Aldrich leave? I know everyone expects him to leave, but with only a semester left to get his degree in college and a not so good offensive year, I believe there is a good possibility he returns for his senior farewell. Another reason I believe Withey could redshirt.

1) Will Kansas play better without Sherron next year? Now I LOVE Collins just as much as the next KU fan but here me out. This whole year has been about winning for #4 has it not? Which is great and all but it forgets about the fact that this is a team game. Not a one man show. Its not the first time Self has done that. (for the record iam NOT a lets fire Self type of person, those people are jokes.) Just look back to the last loss in OK city to a mid major. That year it was all about Wayne Simien. Remember? It was all about win it for Wayne. Sound familiar? Thats my point. Kansas is at its best when its team first, not player. Name me the main player on the 08, 03,02 teams. I just hope that if Cole comes back that its not like this again next year. Because its just not a good formula for winning.

Well those are my thoughts for next year and I would like to here back from you guys. Thanks. Rock Chalk!
