The 7th Man

Remember that horribly contrived marketing scheme the Canucks unveiled back in October, whereas they chose a fan to raise the number 7 banner into the rafters each game?  A direct rip-off of the...

Are They Out of Their Friggin Minds??

...we're having a friendly competition to see which Canuck fan can map out the best route for the Stanley Cup Parade. All you have to do is use Google Maps to draw the route you think would be best. It could pass through your neighbourhood, by your house, your favourite watering hole, wherever you want. Just let us know where it should go, and use markers to describe any points of interest it passes along the way.

How To Be A Canuck Fan in China

What's it like being a Canucks fan in China? GZ Expat gives the pro's and con's

Spector: The slide hits Sundin (rumors of hip problems)

So, I watched game one last night, for the first time...and it was obvious that Sundin was somewhere trailing on nearly every single play. At some point in the 3rd period, Sundin came off the bench and sprinted to the other end, creating a terrific fore check and fooling the Blues a bit. But, once they broke his fore check, Sundin went back to gliding on his skates. I muttered to myself, 'He's got to be hurt.' And then, I read this from Mark Spector at Sportsnet... The rumours of serious hip problems have followed Sundin here from Toronto, where he was so much better down the stretch with a bad Leafs team last spring than he has been on a far superior Canucks roster here in Vancouver.

Hockey News Blog: Canucks Playoff Checklist

Ask anybody and they’ll tell you if you want to win in the spring, you need superior goaltending. Then ask anybody else and they’ll tell you Roberto Luongo is the most superior goaltender in the league.

Moose' Arniel Named AHL Coach of the Year

The 46-year-old native of Kingston, Ont., in his third season at the helm, has guided his team to the most wins in franchise history (49-22-0-6) and its second North Division championship in three years.

That's it...front page of Regardless of who finishes on top of the division and grabs that coveted No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, the Canucks have served notice to the rest of the league that they'll be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason. They are now officially cursed.

McKenzie: Burrows, Kesler have been Canucks most valuable players

He might be forgetting a guy that stands between the pipes...

Sakic to Vancouver

I just love how people pull these things out of their arse, post them, and then don't provide backing links pointing to the phantom article which said this... The Globe reports Sakic, a native of Burnaby, B.C., could join the Vancouver Canucks next year. If anybody finds the link to the original article...I couldn't in the 15 mins I had of it. Cuz I'd like to ridicule that idea at the source.

Puck Daddy's Team USA Picks

Buried way down the list are the guys they don't agree on for the team... Ryan Kesler, Vancouver Canucks WYSHYNSKI: An American victory in Olympic hockey would piss off a ton of people. So does Kesler

The Unemployment Line

So, I was listening to the Rick Ball show this afternoon (podcast download) and there was a conversation about theKyle (Chubby) Wellwood, Taylor (Facebook) Pyatt and Steve (Hands of Stone) Bernier...

Kyle Wellwood, the pudgy reclamation project who's a former Toronto Maple Leaf like Sundin, is skating well and distributing the puck on the third line.

Stop F'ing About - Put Chubby with The Twins

Viggy is maddening at times.  After watching the trio of games from this past weekend, its apparent that Burrows doesn't really work well with the twins.  This move reminded me of the efforts to...
