very interesting discussion of the KG injury on Bill Simmons' latest podcast. KG's has an obscure/rare knee injury but not necessarily any more or less damaging than other injuries. Will Carrol - the guest - says there *is* a possibility that it can simply heal up, meaning he could still play, which is why KG/Celtics are just waiting till the Celtics are eliminated for surgery. It would just push back surgery/recovery 4-5 weeks.

More horrible news: Ainge has heart attack

Via WEEI e-newsletter: WCVB-TV Channel 5 reports that Celtics GM Danny Ainge has suffered a heart attack. WCVB says that Ainge was resting comfortably after being taken to the hospital early Thursday morning. Ainge reportedly woke up Thursday morning with chest pains and was taken to the hospital. Doctors later inserted a stent to unclog an artery that was 100 percent clogged. Ainge will be in the hospital for a few days and will probably miss the Celtics' playoff opener against the Bulls on Saturday. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Sobering look at the financial future of the NBA. While it's been reported that the Celtics were one of the teams that took the loan money, I also think Ainge understands better than some/most GMs the changing nature of NBA finances and will put the C's in a position to take advantage of the changed landscape.

Don't know how the lockout will fix things, but that it may/will happen sounds (sadly) inevitable.

Suprising, or should I say disappointing, to see Philly listed in the teams that might relocate. I agree with Simmons' point (made elsewhere) that once you win a title you can't relocate.

Mikki Moore coming to Boston?!

• I'm also told that Sacramento will be releasing Mikki Moore after the Kings were unable to include him in any trades before the deadline. Given the leaguewide need for big men, there figures to be a fair bit of interest in Moore once he clears waivers. Expectation is high that he will wind up in Boston, reports ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.
