After a good win today, I thought maybe we could have a little fun.  So here is the deal - What Panthers related comment have you made, here or just in conversation, that you basically wince when you remember?  For me it was draft day 2007 when I said, "Jon Beason?  Who the hell is he?  I can't believe we didn't pick Greg Olsen."  I still can't believe I actually said that one.  How about you guys?

    I have been reading the site for a while, and I just recently decided to join.  I, like I am sure many of you, have been noticing a considerable lack of Special Teams play.  I admit I have not been a big Danny Crossman fan.  My dislike with him actually started with the Chris Gamble tossback fumble against the Vikings back in 2006.  Anyway, I decided to do a little research on the Crossman era (2003 to current) as it relates to Special Teams Stats and here is what I found...

Now I found these stats using NFL.com and ESPN.com.  The punt return average stat is a bit skewed by the current 2009 average of 53.0 yards allowed per punt, but to me they show the Panthers being consistently out performed and out schemed by our opponents in Special Teams.  I did not put field goal percentage or punt average in here because I believe that Crossman is being carried the individual statistics of Kasay and Baker to a large extent (again this may be my dislike of Crossman coming in to play).  What do you guys think?
