We over at The Florida Marlins blog just wanted to extend a thank you for the pretty cool thing you guys did today. The fans that came were the epitome of class. We hope you guys had a good time, and you are all welcome back at anytime. we are always the constant butt of jokes when it comes to fan support, but those of us who are true fans are pretty cool guys. Ill be sure to return the favor and come root for the Cards sometime soon.

and maybe you guys can come and try another hand at icthy ;)

What an odd game. This im sure will be the first of MANY MANY posts about this. 

The Dolphins came into the day with a QB controversy all the rage. Pennington was the Starter, Henne was sittin on the bench. That didnt last long. Henne proceeded to play not exactly very well in the first half and I, as im sure many of you were, were feeling disaster has struck.

One of the bright spots of the game was Henne coming out in the second half and looking great. I know i have said that the decision to start pennington was justified and even in todays game thread i was criticizing Henne(for good reason however), but I was impressed by what he showed us coming out of the half.

But of course, it was all for naut. Henne walks off injured and here comes Thigpen. Thigpen's first throw might have been crap, but he looked REALLY good on the next drive. One very interesting thing that Matty posted in the quick thoughts post and something I saw as well was kind of an "It" factor surrounding Thigpen. All of a sudden, the Dolphins offense came alive and scored the only TD of the day that did not come off a Turnover.

So where does this leave us? We have a very short week this week that could not have come at a worse time. While we have no official word yet I believe, Pennington looks done for the year, and Matty's update says Henne is on crutches with Ice around his leg. not a good sign. 

It is a distinct possibility Thigpen could become the starter. Now lets get this straight, if Henne is healthy, my opinion is He should 100% get the start over Thigpin.

But lets discuss the options if Henne is hurt for at least this week. Thigpen Starts? We sign another backup QB? Who? and also just leave general comments below.

So here we are. 9 weeks into the season, and were sitting 4-4. Why is that I ask? Some of you will quickly jump and point to the refs against the steelers and the Special teams against the Pats. But the real problem this season has always been the offense. This offense has sucked MAJORLY. 

Chad Henne. The leader of said suckish offense, has been both a bright spot and a major problem at points this year. The fact is however, he has been making bad decisions in the passing game. 99% of you Phinsiders wil very quickly jump up and down and start ripping into Dan Henning as the problem. oh really? seriously? Dan Henning threw those terrible passes that end up in the opponents hand? really?

Every single time I see Henning open up the offense the way most of you are wanting, I see Henne make a costly interception, or a bad throw, or a "almost" completion. But in this league there is no room for that. In this way Tony Sporano is justified for his decision. You can blame everyone else you want, but it all comes back to the play of the QB, and it just has not been good enough to win this year.

My personal hope is this to serve as a wake up call to Henne, so he will work harder to get better and once again resume the role of starter with renewed confidence. But in the meanwhile were going to see where the veteran can take us. I know im going majorly against the grain here, but I feel like the dissenting opinion should be voiced. I believe the major uproar about calling for Sporano's job is narrow-minded and unwarranted. His job is to choose the plyers that he thinks gives us the best chance to win in any given week, and right now Chad Henne's play was NOT good enough to win, and it was not GETTING any better. in fact in my opinion, i've seen Henne's play actually get WORSE at times......

The Dolphins obviously gets the biggest following of any Miami Team. But I never see the same support of any of the other Miami Teams. So the question is, What Miami Teams do you cheer for?

I personally Cheer for the Miami Dolphins, The Florida Marlins, and the Miami Heat. I hate the Canes because i am a gator fan, and I never really got into hockey. I ask this question because I am part of both the Heat and Marlins blogs here and there just is not alot of people on either one, while The Phinsider has loads and loads of activity.
