I have been a Gator fan all my life. Actually, a sports fan all my life. I find it rewarding to watch history in the making. Something you can't get from a movie or any sitcom. I have appreciated many athletes and many teams....to name few athletes: Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Mike Singletary, Jerry Rice, Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, (just their athletic ability...let's leave their personal lives and decisions for another day). Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson, Patrick Ewing, Dr J, Dominic Wilkins, Kevin Garnett, Edwin Moses, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Brett Farve, Jason Taylor, Mia Hamm, and anybody that has ever put on Gator uniform for obvious reasons. I also grew up a huge Miami Dolphin fan and hold out hope every year that they are going to turn it around. The Cowboys have always been my second team. I am a huge fan of Urban Meyer and Billy Donavan. I think they are true Coaches who care about there players. And, other Coaches who get my respect are Sylvester Croom, Bill Walsh, Don Shula, John Thompson, and Coach K. Teams I want to see lose every week in any sport is Notre Dame and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Alligator Army My Take On Kentucky Game

I don't want the Gators to come into this game thinking they have something to prove. I think that is the recipe for a tight game. And, really after last week I can't handle another one of those.

I am sure offensively we will see a more aggressive set of plays. I look for Nelson, Cooper, and Thompson to have better games at WR.

I am also hoping that Meyer wants to give Omarius Hines more playing time. I think this guy has an Anquan Bolden type body and will be a nightmare one on one to bring down.

And, I am looking to see more involvement from our TE Hernandez  this week.  I understand he was a little under the weather last week.

At RB, I think we have a three headed monster like Alabama does. Maybe not as physical but, just as productive and of course, with more speed. I look for Demps, Rainey, and Moody to have big games.

I look to see more from the defense too. I think they were bold over on some plays against Tennessee. Coach Strong says it was poor tackling. Whatever it is or was I want to see a much stouter defense this Saturday.

I feel Kentucky is no joke and they have found a way to get their best offensive talent on the field in Randall Cobb. I figure he will me a match-up problem like Percy Harvin was for us.

And again this year, I think we have the edge on special teams. Brandon James will be the record holder before he leaves Florida and the SEC in kick returns...maybe the record holder before he leaves this game. He could break one but, if continues to give us good field position like he did in the Tennessee game that could be the difference in the outcome. Caleb Sturgis came along in the kicking game and hit three fields last week. I think that position is now stable.

All in all, I think the Gators have too much for the Wildcats to pull an upset.

I want a big win. I want no doubt from the people in Tuscaloosa and Miami or at least no argument that Florida isn't deserving of the #1 ranking. But, then I am saying I want them to prove something aren't I?

Go Gators!!!!
