Is it just me, or is a train wreck coming?  Here we have the poster child for bad behavior in two previous organizations getting what could be his last shot.  After spending redemption time in the minor leagues he finally gets another break.  Before 10 games are up (and not exactly lighting them up), he decides to disregard both Pirate and major league rules regarding uniforms.  He must have missed that class. 

I'm all for individuality in individual sports, and  I don't mind a little bit of flash from a proven major league performer.  But flash before substance wears thin quickly with myself, and I believe the city also. 

You'd think that his agent would have sat him down and told him .... Dude, this could be your last shot, sit down, shut up, and don't be stupid.  Follow the rules, hit .300 for four seasons, and you can be a sportscaster in the 'Burgh for life when your playing days are done.  One 30-30 season will buy you a little slack.  Acting cool and nonchalant while  not performing will get batteries thrown at you.  And by the way, Frenchy Fuqua did the shoe fetish thing a long time ago.  Be like Franco and wear the uniform right, stay out of trouble, and perform - the sky will be the limit!
