Former players urge caution on concussions
Hmmm.....
Are Lindros and Primeau actually being decent human beings? Or are they saboteurs sent by the Flyers to convince Sid to sit out the season there-by solidifying their hold on the Eastern Conference?

Journey to view the Stanley Cup
Pictures of my girlfriend, my cousin, and I at the Heinz History Center where the Stanley Cup and many other trophies were on display. We waited 3 hours in line, but it was totally worth it! To view the whole album use this link:

TSN - Trade Tracker
This is the best Trade Tracker I could find. Since the 3pm trade freeze went into effect, it will won't be that useful until March 1st again but enjoy regardless!
Kari Lehtonen traded to Dallas
I wonder if this means Marty Turco's days are numbered for the Stars? I've already heard some rumors about it but now it seems almost certain.
Toronto gets Phaneuf, Giguere, Sjostrom, + others
I was kind of shocked to see all these moves happen today, but I would think this is just the beginning to a few transactions that will come before the Olympic Deadline. I know those of us that watched the Pens vs. Red Wings knows about these, but I saw it hadn't been posted so thought I'd throw it on.
Maple Leafs nab Phaneuf, Giguere
By Shawn P. Roarke - NHL.com Managing Editor
Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke has seen enough of his underachieving club.
Sunday morning, Burke remade the Maple Leafs with two bold moves, acquiring defenseman Dion Phaneuf and goalie J.S. Giguere in separate trades.
"We are in buying and selling mode," Burke said during his morning press conference to announce a deal for Phaneuf, who comes aboard with two other players from the Calgary Flames in exchange for four players.
The complete deal was Phaneuf, right wing Fredrik Sjostrom and prospect Keith Aulie to Toronto for forwards Niklas Hagman, Matt Stajan, Jamal Mayers and defenseman Ian White.
....
Burke was back at the podium later in the day to announce the acquisition of Giguere from the Anaheim Ducks. Sent to Anaheim were goalie Vesa Toskala and winger Jason Blake.
Pens Sign Ryan Bayda to a 1 year two-way contract
Monday, 09.28.2009 / 7:21 PM / News
Pittsburgh Penguins The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Ryan Bayda to a one-year contract, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bayda, who attended the Penguins’ 2009 training camp on a professional tryout, earned a two-way contract from the club.
The 5-11, 195-pound winger played parts of five seasons with Carolina after the Hurricanes drafted him with the 80th overall pick (third round) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Bayda, 28, has tallied 40 points (16G-24A) in 179 career games. Last season, he posted 12 points (5G-7A) in 70 games and four points (2G-2A) in 15 post-season contests, which included four games against the Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Saskatoon, Canada native played three collegiate seasons at the University of North Dakota.
Kessel Traded to the Maple Leafs
NHL.com - Phil Kessel Traded to Toronto for Picks
I had a feeling he wasn't going to be a Bruin this year, now he's on a team that he can be the star player. Once he's back from shoulder surgery in November, I think he'll make a huge impact on Toronto's team. They made some decent moves this offseason, and they may be quite the contender this year. Too early to tell, but they look pretty good on paper.
It's a great day for a parade!
Just wanted to post a link to my pics from the Stanley Cup Parade for all of you who couldn't make it in person. It was unbelievable seeing all those Pens fans swarm the city to celebrate our Stanley Cup Champions! It took me forever to find a spot where I could actually see the parade itself, so I took as many pics as I could. If anyone has any problems viewing the pictures let me know.
