Geoffrey joined Broad Street Hockey in June 2009. He is a graduate of Drexel University School of Law after graduating with a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. Currently, Geoff lives in Fairfax, Va after growing up in Quakertown, Pa, 15 minutes south of Allentown.

As the degree suggests, Geoff is a huge political junkie. Anything you want to know about our 44 Presidents, Geoff most likely knows it. If you're curious, his favorite is James Knox Polk.

Wednesday Fly By: Scariest Halloween mask? Malkin.

Happy Halloween. Malkin's ugly.

Tuesday Fly By: How many can read this?

For the few of you with power and internet, the NHL threatens to cancel the Winter Classic in three days, NCAA hockey updates and a Gary Bettman Halloween video.

Monday Morning Fly By: It's supposed to rain

Recapping the weekend's games in the AHL, ECHL and NCAA.

Friday Fly By: Go watch Jason Akeson for free

Free tickets to the Titans if you have NHL season tickets, Ilya Bryzgalov is still struggling, Matt Carle is still awesome and Jim Hughson is building a house.

Thursday Fly By: Matt Read talked zone entries

Matt Read went on NHLNumbers and talked about zone entries, Danny Syvret is amazing, MAB is healthy, and the lockout still sucks.

Wednesday Fly By: What? We was just talkin'

The NHL temporarily allowed their owners and GMs to talk to the players last week, explaining the lockout using beer, and marveling at Brett Hull's troll-ability.

Tuesday Fly By: You miss arguing over Carle too

Updating Flyers' prospects, remembering the Phantoms of yesteryear and other random links.

Monday Fly By: Recapping the weekend

The Phantoms split their games in St. John's while Penn State beat Rochester Institute of Technology

Thursday Fly By: Time for players to get on table

Lots of negative reaction on the NHL's proposal and they all require you to learn what "escrow" really means.

The NHL needs a luxury tax, not a salary cap

The recent 50/50 split of HRR proposal sounds good, but it's just another example of why a luxury tax is preferable to a salary cap.

Wednesday Fly By: No, the lockout is not over

The NHL makes an offer they should have made in August, Matt Konan ends his disappearance, Canada entertains the possibility of getting two expansion teams and one individual shares people who thought the lockout was over.

Tuesday Morning Fly By: Apathy is winning out

We have more proposals for a solution from outsiders, we have more articles expressing disgust with both sides, and we have one side bringing in a spin doctor to ask casual fans to not hate them so much. Yay.

Monday Fly By: Lots of non-NHL hockey this weekend

The Flyers didn't play the Islanders like scheduled, but the Phantoms, Titans and Nittany Lions all were in action.

Friday Fly By: Nobody would watch STL/COL anyway

David Booth killed a very, very large animal, we recap missing hockey's opening night, we mock early 90s fashion and lament the NHL's gag order costing Rich Hammond his job.

Thursday Morning Fly By: Matt Read is awesome

Ice was put down, Matt Read had a good game between teams you can't pronounce and the KHL on ESPN is not a pleasant viewing experience.

Wednesday Fly By: Speaking of top 25 under 25...

Lots of links today, including a great article by Ellen Etchingham, two top 25 under 25 lists, and the first Phantoms practice in Glens Falls.

Tuesday Fly By: At least the weather is great

Today's links are quite depressing, though the Brendan Burke interview and the look at what the first 40 games were like last year present some non-depressing reading.

Friday Morning Fly By: No Progress Made

Today's links make it painfully clear nothing is going to get done this weekend.

Thursday Fly By: Regular season starts in a week!

Today's links remind us everyone is working on their O in the A, or maybe the K, or maybe their O is being overshadowed by Bob.

Wednesday Fly By: Patrick Thoresen should return

Today's links remind us of Patrick Thoresen, inform us on the Flyers' many prospects in Europe, and expose a very petulant reporter in Boston for what he is.

Tuesday Fly By: Workin on his O in the A

Today's morning links give us Sean Couturier hoping to realize his offensive potential in the AHL, Pat LaFontaine throwing his hat in the mess that is Islanders ownership, and a bunch of nerds hating on Calgary GM Jay Feaster.

Monday Fly By: Krys Barch actually has 304 NHL GP

Today's links bring you back to the workweek with a guy you've likely never heard of going on a Twitter rant, the Oilers' owner apologizing to fans for his awful negotiating ploy, PSU hockey updates and a NJ player jumping through the glass.

Global Spectrum could manage new Toronto NHL arena

According to the National Post, a new arena in Toronto will, if approved, be managed and operated by Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of Comcast Spectacor.

Report: Comcast subsidiary to manage Toronto arena

According to the National Post, a new arena in Toronto will, if approved, be managed and operated by Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of Comcast Spectacor.

Friday Fly By: Watch the KHL or EPL instead

Today's links provide a great quote from Bernie Parent, but mostly try to convince you to watch the KHL or EPL this weekend while the NHL and NHLPA argue about trivial matters.

Thursday Fly By: Providing a NCAA hockey schedule

Today's links catch us up with Keith Primeau and Ron Hextall, remind us of Lukas Krajicek and scare us with a garden gnome before consoling us with 50 nationally televised college hockey games.

Wednesday Morning Fly By: Crosby Flies!

Today's morning links bring us lockout alternatives, Norm Macdonald talking about his youth, Sidney Crosby getting launched into orbit and more.

Nikolay Zherdev dangles in the KHL

Playing for Atlant of the KHL, Nikolay Zherdev with an early goal of the year candidate on this play.

Tuesday Morning Fly By: Hey, look! A new site!

Hey, a new look site! But the Fly By is still here. Also, Simon Gagne is still loved and the new Brooklyn arena is pretty friggin' awesome.
