I played DT for the 49ers in 80 & 81 (Super Bowl) when I developed hydrocephalus from repeated concussion over my 13 years of football. I underwent emergency VP Shunt brain surgery during the season, 2 more brain surgeries 10 hours apart, just 4 months after we won Super Bowl XVI, and was given last rites AND the hospital bills. After 5 years of battling creditors I won my Work Comp claim and had my bills paid for. Am now on brain surgery # 8 with several grand mal seizures thrown in for giggles, and qualify for ZERO NFL benefits from an 8 BILLION dollar industry.

Anyone else besides me pissed?
