Pearl wants Vols more physical

1

This article makes me feel better in a lot of ways. 1. Coach Pearl is talking about next year and is anxious to start the offseason program. Hopefully meaning that hes not entertaining offers. 2. The "honeymoon" may be over and the freshness and new excitement may be gone, but Pearl is running a solid healthy program which is all we should really demand as fans. Bruce Pearl is Tennessee Basketball and theres nobody I'd rather have on our sidelines.

Kiffin, Berry a star-studded combo for Vols

My Kool Aid drinking is going rapidly from sip to chug, it won't be long before I'm swimming in a baby pool of it.

Lane Kiffin has been an embarassing disgracing that has been bringing down our University to depths we will never be able to crawl out of. We will surely lose every game a Million to Zero!!!!!!

Last 4 Years

As I enjoy my last semesters at UT. I’ll be graduating next December. I thought I’d take a look back at the last 4 seasons of Tennessee football and the games I’ve attended. Maybe the numbers will...

Even South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier — long the mouth of the South — looks old-school next to Kiffin. But that’s the point. This isn’t a guy without a clue. This is a guy who just really might have all the answers to building a championship program in the 21st century. ..... But unless or until that happens, the hunch here is that college football fans would be wise to either climb aboard the Lane Train or get out of its way. Because Kiffin doesn’t appear likely to slow down for anyone or anything in his path.

Sure, UT currently has 38 former players in the NFL, but the overall percentage of NCAA players who go to the NFL is only 1.8 percent. What does that say about selling UT as a four-year training camp for the NFL? At best, UT’s new coaches come off as hired guns who are using the university to entertain the masses while they advance their own careers. At worst, UT’s football staff, with the blessing of the athletic director, is promoting a pipe dream to the vast majority of players. By doing so, they perpetuate the sports-entertainment complex that exerts devastating influence on so many of America’s youth by diminishing the importance of education.

This is College Basketball.

The basketvols are sitting at 12-7 (3-2 SEC) and it seems as though there has been a combination of frustration/panic/apathy surrounding our men in orange. During the Bruce Pearl era we’ve been...

"My biggest regret was going to the University of Tennessee. The head coach, Phillip Fulmer, is a very two-faced guy. The side you saw out of him through recruiting wasn't the side that you saw once you got there. He wasn't a molder of men. He was just a politician, trying to work his way through. I thought about leaving, but my teammates, being there for the team, is what kept me there."

Dating Tips from your favorite College Football Coaches

This is pretty entertaining. My favorite advice being Pete Carrol's "Treat her like someone special. Pour on the charm. Then once you get a commitment for a second date, make it clear that you have seven other bombshells lined up if she doesn't put out."

"The four sacks and all that is good," Richard said, "but we feel we're so much stronger right now and quicker. "We want to be known for run blocking." Richard said one of UT's goals for the offensive line is to average 200 yards rushing per game. The Vols averaged 139 yards per game last season.

"I expect Dave to call a big play at the right time," says Scott, who counts Clawson as one of his closest friends in coaching. "Dave's a master play-caller. When he gets into a rhythm, it's fun to watch. It's almost like he's on the headset with the defense."
