Reflecting on our GREATEST moment!!!!
I think we can all agree that AZ Cardinal news is about as exciting as a Celine Dion concert right now. Free agency was in my opinion a joke and we still have 18 days left till the NFL draft. It makes it hard when all you want to do is talk Cardinals. So why not talk about the greatest moment we've all experienced as fans!
Recently at work my good friend and I were talking about our Cardinals Super Bowl game. We talked about the Super Bowl plays that made us jump, the ones that made us cringe, our reactions, where we were and what we were doing and if we feel we'll ever make it back.
What do you guys remember from our Super Bowl run. What were you doing, where were you at, what was your favorite play, what made you angry, etc.?
And if you don't think this wasn't our greatest moment, then what was? Leave your comments below!
Deuce Lutui Heads to Seattle and other O-Line questions!!!!
LOOKS AS THOUGH IT'S PEYTON TO DENVER!!!
Per reports from ESPN, it has been stated that Peyton advised for his agent to begin working out the details of a contract with his new team the Denver Broncos. This coming from more than two sources and writers on ESPN. How does this make you as Cardinal fans feel. Atleast he is not going to SF. Now we can hope Smith signs with Miami and it all blows up in SF's face.
Leave your comments on how you feel abou this!
Reports point to Jeff Fisher taking Job with Rams
This report is tentative from what I've read and should hopefully give all Cardinal fans a big sigh of relief. With this situation supposedly coming to an end. What do you believe should be our next step in the coaching staff changes and what do you believe will improve our staff as a whole. Lets hear your guys's comments, ideas and any feelings you may have as to this news that has not yet been completely confirmed but looks most promising.
How do you feel about the 2011 Cardinals?
At the beginning of the FA frenzy, I wasn't real sure about our team. In fact I was getting pi$$ed off to say the least. We were sinking like a lead ship. First DRC was gone, then Boobs left, then Lutui. I was beginning to think Whiz and the FO had lied to all of us about being aggressive during this years FA.
However within the last two to three days I have seen a complete 180 and am elated with how this team has really gone after some key players. I think we've really got something going for our team when this is all said and done.
What do you rate our team with their pickups thus far? Do we have a chance at (possibly) making a good run in the playoffs?
Todd Heap is now a Cardinal!!!!
What are your thoughts and reactions? Was this a good move by AZ? Or could we have put money into another position the Cards are more in need of? I feel pretty good about this even though there were other positions I would still like to see them work on. He has no character issues, works hard and plays hard. I think we've done fairly well with our additions this year. Well at least better than what we've done in other FA signings in years past.
DRC vs. Ike Taylor Debate
As already talked about and reported, the Cardinals could look at trading DRC to the Eagles for a "possible" long term solution at one of our weakest positions quarterback. There are those of us that say no and those of us that are screaming to pull the trigger as fast as humanly possible.
Well today another scenario was added into the mix making things as clear as mud. That being Pittsburgh Steelers free agent Ike Taylor. If the Cardinals were to pursue Ike Taylor and trade DRC to the Eagles for Kolb, how would you feel about this? Ike Taylor has worked extensively with Ray Horton, is an experienced leader and role model and has the toughness Whiz is looking for in his Steelers West defense. However we all know what DRC can do when he's playing at a pro-bowl level.
The major glaring difference between DRC and Taylor is that DRC is better in pass protection where as Taylor is not so much.
If the Cardinals were to pursue this, do you think this would be a poor move or an upgrade from DRC

Training Camp Call of Hands
Let's just for one second say that the NFL Lockout concludes and both sides decide to play like pretty little friends! I know it's kind of laughable at this time with everything.
With a show of hands who all will or would be attending training camp in Flagstaff????
I have never been, but plan on making it this time. Maybe we should try to have a meet up time and place for ROTB members! What do you all think?
Not another QB post
I'd love to figure out or have resolution as to who the next AZ QB will be. But until the NFL and PLAYERS work things out and a deal is inked we won't know. So why not move on to the next best topic of discussion.
What three players currently on our roster would you most like to see gone, cut or traded once the CBA is in place?
What three FA's would you most like to see us sign to the team? This can include undrafteds from this years draft class as well.
Maybe explain what you feel your three choices offer or don't offer the Cardinals. I see a lot of guys that I feel are dead weight on our team and would like to se replaced. I'm sure most can guess who will be everybody's first to go!
How the NFL was destroyed!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am thoroughly DISGUSTED and SICK of this whole lock out situation!!! Slowly but surely, my love for my favorite sport and team is starting to dwindle into hate and resentment. I am an ethical man who sticks to his word when he says he's going to do something. I am truly close to giving up on the NFL and Its players.
When you think about it; it's not a bad economy, natural disaster, famine or the end of the world in 2012 that is destroying our sport. It's two parties which share equal blame in the GREED and DESTRUCTION. I don't know if either party realizes how badly they are damaging Football as a whole.
I should know, I dealt with UPS when we went on strike and it only lasted approx. 1.5 weeks. In the end it cost close to hundreds of millions and badly tarnished UPS's reputation. It also took years to recover for our company. We can only imagine what this is and will do to the NFL.
What are your thoughts, Ideas and feelings about boths sides and what you want at this point?
2008-2009 Cardinals Are Like My Ex-Girlfriend!!!!
So, I'm not going to claim that I've been watching or a fan of the Cardinals for years and years. In fact just before the 2005 season I was a long time 49ers fan (what can I say, I came from the Bay Area) and we all make mistakes right? However, I finally came to my senses and decided to support our Cardinals and I haven't looked back since. Even during the "harder" times I've loved every minute and the closeness of our fans and you guys on here at ROTB.
Where am I going with this you might ask and how does it relate to my story headline? Whelp here's how it relates. I'm going to start calling out and protesting fairweather fans if I hear another person say what happened to our Cards, our Cards suck, if only Kurt were here, Whiz needs fired, Bill Davis needs fired, back in the day (only last season) we were way better, etc.. Get over it everybody!!!!! It's a transitional season and I am sure that things will begin to pan out. I do understand and also have a lot of complaints myself and haven't been the happiest. However I have seen far worse times from our team
As for stating that the Cardinals are like my ex-girlfriend. What I mean by this is we've all had that one girlfriend that after the relationship ends we can't get over. We see her out with other guys and become jealous or sit and think about the times we had with her while drinking a beer. Well, that's what the 2008 and 2009 Cardinals are!!!! They're the ex-girlfriend (seasons) we can't get over. But it's not 2008 or 2009, it's 2010!!! So I think it best we all take a deep breath, put the past two seasons away and start to think about what the future holds for us!!!! MAYBE ANDREW LUCK (DAMN THAT MAKES ME GIDDY JUST THINKING ABOUT IT) is in our near future!!!! I see some damn good things coming with a lot of these rookies and additions we've made. It may not be working currenlty or immediately, but I know it will soon. So with that said, what do you guys think??????
Peace to tha deceased from the west side Tempe pride!!!
West Side AZ Pride!!! Claim To Fame!
It's been a week or so since I've been on here (not that anyone should care really) because of my internet. But now that I'm back on, I had been pondering and wanted to post something random and fun besides the usual stats or recent happening of our beloved Cardinals.
I titled this post CLAIM TO FAME because I want to know what is your closest claim to fame where the AZ Cardinals are concerned? Have you met any of the players and if so, where? Had a beer with one of the players? Are distantly related to one of them? This is your Star F**ker moment to brag. I PERSONALLY WAS ABLE TO MEET A FEW FAMILY MEMBERS OF WARNER AND CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF HIM IN HIS HOUSE BECAUSE OF WORKING FOR U.P.S.. Ask me about it, it was pretty sweet. Not so important or related, I used to hang out with and went to school with NFL Ref. Ed Hochuli's son in high school. What about you?
Fan Confidence Poll Question?
I know this has most likely been beaten to death (probably more times than I curse my ex- wives name) and we're sick of hearing about our teams downfalls and the fans "LACK" of confidence and what happens next. But how much do you buy into the "FAN CONFIDENCE POLL" and where it's currently rated? It's not that I don't like it or appreciate it. But I guess what I'm saying is that ANYONE including those from other teams, people who aren't R.O.T.B members or SBN members and bandwagoners can vote on our "confidence poll" right? Let me know if I'm wrong. I don't mind admitting I'm wrong sometimes! But, I find it hard to beleive that we really fell off confidence wise that much, so here's my own confidence poll........
Have we really improved????
Well, hopefully everyone enjoyed our second game or thorough embarassment as much AS I DID (GOD BLESS THE REFS). I think I might have enjoyed it a little too much (one too many) if you know what I'm saying. I'll probably call off from work tomorrow. Oh well, it was worth it to feel better about our team !!!! From our season opener to now I don't kow if we have made any improvement since our last game. At first we seemed to have finally found a team co-hesiveness and sense of urgency we lacked last week. But it was all gone by the end of the second half. What do you think we have improved on from last week and have we really gotten any better?
Strengths/ Weakness against Falcons
Week 2 of NFL Football is finally upon us (HELL YEAH!). To me this is when a teams season begins to unfold and a picture is painted as to what's ahead. Keeping that in mind, our last game against St. Louis was nothing to write home to mom about. It also wasn't our worst game we've ever played (think New England). Now try thinking of what really stood out to you our last match up whether it be negative or positive. What things do you hope to see changed / unchanged by game time?
1.) What positive aspects or strengths should we keep from last week that will help us in our game against Atlanta?
2.) What negative flaws or weaknesses do you hope we have corrected from last week to keep Atlanta from exploiting them?
Who is your Cards vs. Rams MVP?
SO TO BEGIN, DID ANYONE SEE THE 49ERS VS. SEATTLE SCORE?
Well, we shouldn't have had to struggle as much as we did against the St. Louis Rams. But a win is a win and setting all other discussions aside, who do you beleive saved this game or made the biggest impression(s) for you? As for me, it'd would have to be Steve Breaston by far. If it weren't for Breastons receptions when DA couldn't connect with Fitz or his forcing a fumble after a St. Louis fumble recovery, we'd be in the doghouse right now. In your own opinion who do beleive contributed most to our win?
Who are your top 3?
Just curious with all the numerous changes made to our teams roster this pre-season as to what top 3 players people will be waiting most to see play. As for myself, there are numerous players who I'm interested in seeing for the first time perform as a starter in their NFL careers, after the signing of a new contract or for the first time with the AZ Cardinals. In no particular order, who are you most excited, interested or intrigued about seeing play on opening day against the St. Louis Rams and why? Sorry if this is kind of mundane, it's my first time really posting anything and I'm just curious. Myself it would have to be 1.) Darnell Dockett (Because of his contract) 2.) Daryl Washington (Because of his potential) 3.) Steve Breaston (Because of becoming the #2 WR)
