To everyone it may concern,

  I implore you to execise great and wise judgment when executing the charges you are faced with.  You all must know and feel immense pressure to select a coach that will not only win on the field, but off as well.  Remember, what is done in the coming months will determine the legacy of Auburn University, which will be linked to each and every one of you.

I need not remind you that The University of Alabama just 2 short years ago was faced with such a dilemma and under tremendous scrutiny of fans and alumni alike (Mal Moore) was able to hit a very long HOME RUN (Nick Sabin).  Do not mistake these witty metaphors as an attempt of humor, but even a blind squirrel can get a nut.

Now you must step up to bat, bases are loaded (by your own doing) and you must hit a GRAND SLAM, with the rest of the nation watching.  No pressure...  Let me be clear, Skip Holtz, Bobby Johnson, Paul Johnson or a Bobby Petrino is just a fly ball and you are praying for it to drop.  Surely you realize that even a Mike Leach may not have the distance to clear the fence.

A GRAND SLAM is a "been there, done that" kind of guy like Jimmy Johnson (if you must have a Johnson); however, Chris Peterson is just as good as a Johnson, only his team is still undefeated.
