Detroit Bad Boys Features I Would Enjoy on detroitbadboys.com

I think a live score or easily accessible box scores from previous games would be wonderful. I know that the SB nation probably alreardy has very similar features, however I only come to SB nation for Pistons content. I am a fan following from the pre-SB era, so I just come here directly bypassing these things. Right now I split much attention between ESPN.com, PISTONS.com, and HERE...

My point being, I would prefer to skip pistons.com all together. The fluff pieces and regurgitated bs make the site unbearable at best. The content is inflated with propaganda, and is so inconsistent with it's updates I don't consistently visit. I go there to look at the schedule, as it lists nearly every key event in the season. If you could combine this with espn's life altering simplistic box scores, and Natalie Sitto's schedule list....

It would save me time, and would garner this site every consequential hit. I'm sure many other user's would also benefit from this, like not having to dig through endless archives to see how many rebounds Big Ben grabbed in Game 5.

The thing that makes this community great, is the honest opinions of its members, who are all devoted Piston fans. The greatest thing about espn. and piston.com, is the raw information they provide. Bring this surfing experience together here, and you will have a true chance to make this whole operation grow...

Detroit Bad Boys Why Miami Was the Right Choice

First I have to make a short point,

LeBron is not what we want/think him to be.... We associate him with the likes of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson. We feel that he is this machine, that is working improperly if not manufacturing title after title... What is the first thing you think of when you hear "2004"? Championship season.  What is the first thing you think of when someone says "2005" or "Spurs"?(only in basketball reference) "They were up in the second half..."

When you hear "Michael Jordan" or "Bill Russell" you think of championships, when you think of "Allen Iverson" you think of no championships. Well; Lebron James is not Michael Jordan; nor is he Allen Iverson.... And frankly he will never be either of them, Dwayne Wade will be Michael Jordan in that he will always take the last shot... Chris Bosh will be Pau Gasol, the perfect person to benefit from a better players shadow. LeBron James will be the Steve Nash, not always going to be the high scorer compared to his super-star buddies, but always the one who's legacy we chat about on sports blogs'...

Think of LeBron back in Cleveland with an inescapable 6 year contract, smothered by an incompatible team, ridiculous expectations and irresponsible management. Of course Cleveland had an interest in the "Witness" campaign, and "The King" or "The Chosen One"... Do you think people in Cleveland even realize how brazen those nicknames are? It's what gets people excited.... Just like when the when the Pistons would play on TNT, you would get so excited. You craved that praise from announcers to a national audience, yes we loved to watch them beat up on the Lakers even when they sucked after O'Neal left town... So Joe Shmo gets out of work Thursday night, tomorrows Friday and you get LeBron tear into Josh Howard and the Mavericks all night. Perfect for the casual fan who normally only watches the "big" games...

Anyways do you think it would be good business for the Cavaliers to promote James as a super-play-maker rather than an epic finisher? Why would Cleveland bring in a closer or finisher? They want Lebron James to be that super finisher, and they built the team accordingly. The main criticism torwards all of those teams faced was the apparent lack of a second banana, which Boozer probably doomed Lebron to. However they never really tried to fix it, they never intended to build around a team as much as they intended to build around him.  Not only in a directionless manner, but also forcing him to pretend to be what they wanted him to be... The best player ever...

Leaving Cleveland behind, we can now see the true potential of LeBron James, see the player he imagines himself to be. He can grow into his comfortiable role, with teammates he knows he will be playing with for a long time. No more O'Neal who can't catch passes into the paint because his hands are like oven mits... No more crazy ass Varejao with annoying hair flopping all of the time... No more defending his teamates who have been simply lost in the LeBron show, like John Travolta and Bruce Willis behind Samuel L. Jackson in the best movie ever...

The last remaining concerns for the Heat are

1. Role Players

2. Riley or Spoelstra

3. Individual Touches

Role Players?, do you think they would have a hard time recruiting veteran role players? Do you think Raja Bell would take a minimum contract to play on that team for 1-2 years? Would Ben Wallace turn an offer down?

Pat Riley will be coach... do not even think otherwise, whether it's this year or next. He is considered one of the most successful coaches of all time, and has nurtured multiple megastars... Yes Erik Spoelstra will be given some rope, enough to eventually hang himself...

Individual touches is not what is important to LeBron. If he wanted to average 30 a game, he would have stayed in Cleveland and broke the scoring record when he was34. Instead he has chosen to surround himself perfect teammates, and a fresh environment to recreate himself.

I want you to imagine something...

Your in the Atlanta locker room, it's halftime and the Hawks are down by 17... LeBron has 24 points and Bosh 18, Wade is having a quiet night with only 12 points... Whoever is coaching by this point is furiously scribbling over a white board while Joe Johnson has his head covered by a sweaty towel... Bibby is idly trying to spin a basketball on his pinky, while Josh Smith is kissing his flexed muscles.

What is there to do?

Double off of Wade?

What do you see in this stat line? Just tell me what you think... average, effective, role player, Micheal Curry?

But if I had mentioned Josh is only 26? And has had two years of obscurity for self-reflection?... Is it fair to say his ceiling is somewhere between Martell Webster and Gerald Wallace?

04-05 CHA 70 68 30.7 4.1-9.1 .449 0.2-0.9 .274 2.7-4.1 .661 1.70 1.30 2.3 2.6 1.7 3.8 5.5 2.0 11.1

And Wallace was a full time starter on a very mediocre team.... Josh's most efficient season came on the 08 team the squeaked into the playoffs and rivted the collective basketball world for 7 games? Joe Johnson just a got a rediculous pay-day from the Hawks for that post-season... Had to of been cause he sucked last season....

It frees up possible deals to move Richard Hamilton (Or Gordon)... A trade bait Dampier should be am easy enough contract to aquire when offering Hamilton, who would make an imediate impact on that team with his off-ball movement...

You can then unload Tayshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell to a veteran team like New Orleans for Peja and his E.C. From here it gets obvious...

1.Tank this year

2.Get another lottery pick,

3.Rebuild around Rodney Stuckey, Greg Monroe, Josh Childress, Jonas Jerebko and draftpick..

4. Have money to throw around with all core players to signed to moderate rookie contracts or sub $10,000,000 deals,

5.Become the Trailblazers...
