Canseco apparently desperate for money is going to fight two-time Pro Bowler Vai Sikahema. Clearly a pubplicity stunt for money. I am still pumped to see this. What does everybody else think of this? I for one would love to step in the ring with Jose for $5000. But then again i am a broke college student so I would do quite a few things for $5000

This whole Mark Prior situation is getting me a little fired up. It seems like he has no respect for this organization. This organization ahs stuck with him for years and has helped him out. I used to love Prior, i used to like him more than Wood. Now, he is being ungratful and ready to bail on this organization. Completely ridiculous. what do you all think? Im curious though as to why the Cubs just dont go to arbitration with him. I know the Cubs have rarely gone to arbitration with a player, but i do not see how the Cubs could not win the arbitration. He didn't pitch last year, and has barely pitched since 2003. I just dont understand how its possible that he could ever win in arbitration. You can't jsut trade talent like this away now. Personally, I say if he wont accept an option for 2009 then forget his  sorry ass. Its worth seeing what he can do when he comes back this year(wheather in June or even later). If he pitches well maybe the Cubs can talk contract with him then.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a website I am looking for. I want to buy some Cub shirts as Christmas gifts, but I can't find websites with the shirts I want. I am specifically looking for the shirts that the street vendors had outside of wrigley during games. speciifically the guys that walk around. The guys with the " Cardinals take it in their Pujols" or "Jeter Swallows". If anyone knows where i can find a website with similar shirts please let me know. thank you!

I have thought about it for the longest time. I've wanted to send a player mail and ask for an autograph since i was about 8 years old(im now 18).

Have any of you before sent players mail before and gotten an autograph before? What do you suggest? How long approximatley does it take to get something back? Whats the adress you send this too?

Please just tell about personal experiences with this and tell me if any of you have done this, this current year with any sucess.

With Soriano out for now, i was wondering what you guys think of atleast trying Pie leading off a few games. Im preety sure he did this in the minor leagues and hes not getting and good playing time so i think Pinella should give him a shot. Now im a hugh Theriot fan and i think hes doing great right now from the leadoff spot. Im just saying with Soriano out now i think we should give Pie a shot at leading of and see what happens. Maybe it will give him more confidence or make him more comfortable. Anyways what are all of your thoughts on this?

i know this is not baseball related. although a month ago you all helped me out regarding the cubs. i moved to north carolina a month ago and u all helped me with what i needed to see the games. now i need help with what i need to see the bears. how many games do u think i would be able to see just on espn and fox or whatever for free without anything extra. now i have direct tv, and i have extra innings for now. but my question is what do i need to see a good amount of bear games, and how many do you think i can see just through espn fox ect? i appreciate all your help for the advice on seeing the cubs and i hope someone can help me with this.

Im moving to North Carolina on this friday from Glen Ellyn here. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I don't want to miss out on any games there, soI was wondering if anyone knows what kind of cable package and from what company i need to get to watch the cubs games. I know they have wgn there but I would like to get digital cable so i can watch all the games. Im sure ill get some sort of shit for this but. Why not let soriano play second. keep jones in right murton left and derosa and eventually pie in center. i know sorianos defense is an absolute joke. but wrigley has one of the hardest right fields in baseball how is soriano gonna handle that? but i figure with isturis at short d lee at first and well aram is bad defensivly anymore, that soriano wont be such a big liability at second as most people think.

this is barretts last year under contract. i was wondering as too what you all think bout resigning him. personnally hes my favorite player on the cubs and has been for a couple years now.( not just for hitting a.j) Anyways i think the cubs should resign him regardless of his defense. Hes one of the few players on the cubs with fire and reaally seem to care about the game. anyways this is my first diary ewver so i hope i didnt mess this up at all but id appreciate your feedback. ill include a poll at the bottom of the page here.
