The Phinsider Running around Zebras

Hey guys.  This is my first post in years, but yesterday's game was a painful one.  There's so much to say, I don't know where to begin.

First off, I'd like to shake my head at the start to the game.  Poor play all around, but from the safeties especially.  I think Chris Clemons needs to start at FS, and let Wilson Go.  Bell is NOT good in any coverage past 10 yards, and Wilson just blows.  Our CB's will be fine.

Next, you have to commend the team on the comeback attempt.  I really thought they had it, but the momentum was crushed by outright HORRIBLE officiating.  First, I haven't seen anything on the Chris Brown fumble/incomplete pass.  Are you kidding me?  Incomplete?  It wasn't even close?  He took like 6 steps!  He ran like 4 yards!  How do you make that call?  Speed of the game can't even be claimed, that's how bad it was!  And in that situation?  C'mon.  C'mon.  That zebra that made the call on the field should be FIRED.  Flat out.

So Miami loses about 30 yards, but that doesn't stop them either.  They hit the deep ball to Ginn.  "that's nice to see" I say to myself as Ginn marches back to the sideline.  A good time to score for this much maligned WR.  Then you see the flag.  How many TD's has Ginn had called back in his career?  And the call was pathetic.  Polite had already made the block when his foot touched the defender's.  He was already going down.  It has no impact on the play, and was a tick-tack call.  Horrible call in a big spot.  After that, the momentum slowed, but Miami kept fighting back.

So, in the end I commend them for fighting all 11 Texans, and all 7 Zebras.

To all the haters out there, remember that this team is still exceeding expectations, and is getting closer.  I'm convinced Henne is the answer.  The talent level still needs upgrading, in positions I don't need to mention.  The trifecta have us on the right path.  As much as this one hurts, believe.

The Phinsider Thank god it wasn't Benson

Thank God for Ronnie Brown over Cedric Benson.....I found this classic mugshot of him, but if you look at the police checklist.....well, take a look for yourself...

Ronnie has not been the player we thought he was just yet, but at least he's not this douche bag.  That said, I think he'll be one of the hottest second half of the year players.  Barring injury, the line is shaping up and he should be starting to feel 100% later in the year.  Let's just hope he doesn't go drunk boating!
