Blogging The Boys Tashard Choice cut by Skins: take my Poll!

Poor Tashard Choice continues his slide from grand possibilities to average Joe, as he was cut by the Skins today. I feel Dallas mismanaged his promising career, although he certainly left them the option to do so with his poor blocking and lack of understanding his assignments. At least he always took the high road. The skins signed him last week, before they played Dallas and cut him two days after playing them...which begs the question: did he have a legit shot to be their RB or were they using him just to help against Dallas. What do you think?

Poll
Choice had a legit shot to be a longterm RB for the Deadskins or was being used to help Washington vs. The Cowboys in week 11?

I will be traveling outside of Cowboy's Country tonight...Can anyone tell me where on the internet I can watch tonight's Cowboys/Chargers preseason game?...I assume many of you are not local in Dallas, so there must be an option....I hope!

Blogging The Boys 2011 Season: An Unmitigated Disaster

I love the Cowboys.  I spend entirely too much time paying attention to their draft, FA moves, camp practices, etc…If you’re reading this, then you are likely just the same.  But I am also a realist…and I REALLY think the Cowboys are going to be bad again in 2011.

Blogging The Boys Kenrick Ellis may be deported

http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/41508/jets-draft-choice-could-get-deported

The link above discusses the fact that Ellis is not a US citizen, he is Jamaican, so if found guilty of his malicious assalt charge, he will likely be deported...what a fool...without even knowing the facts of the case, but knowing his history and attitude, it can't be looking good for him or the J-E-T-S.

Thank goodness the Cowboys didn't draft him, as some here and on other sites were begging for.  Can you imagine what grief Jerry and the boys would take if that drafted this guy?  Not everyone may be happy to have Demarco Murray as our third round pick, but I'll surely take him and whatever he contributes vs. losing the pick altogether.

For those technical football geeks, The Ticket and Dallas Morning News blogger Bob Sturm posted this transcript of his conversation with Aikman breaking down in detail one of their best plays, which The Chicago Bears will run this weekend and is surely part of Garrett's playbook. Very interesting and really illustrates how complicated, fast and mental the game is for the QB, the WR and the DB's

Blogging The Boys 2010 Player Contracts: Planning for future dominance now

As I sit here watching post after post regarding a draft that is still a month away,  where Dallas' pick is not likely to be a top tier player and I await Dallas to do anything in free agency, I'd like to hypothesize aloud:  One year ago, or even 3 months ago, we all salivated at the idea that the uncapped 2010 could be a year where Dallas could become the Yankees of football, snapping up top free agents to make a super-team.   We all know that the reality has had Dallas "hamstrung" by the 2009 rule of 8and that generally, most teams are showing more restraint and caution than expected.  However, one can assume a salary cap will return in some form either in 2011 or after a negotiation with the NFLPA.  SO, with that in mind, why aren't teams ( preferably Dallas) restructuring existing contracts toc accelerate debt into this uncapped year and reducing their possible future salaries?

more after the jump (do I have to write that?)....
