If your cat even chews on the leaf of a lily, your cat might be dead within a week.

I did not know this until today when I noticed my kitties chewing on my new asiatic lily. I remember my fiance telling me that some plants were toxic to cats. So I researched it on the interwebs and discovered that lilies are extremely toxic to kitties. They cause kidney failure in our feline friends. By the time they start showing symptoms (vomitting, loss of appetite, lethargy, depression, it might be too late and they will probably be dead pets! The best course of action is taking them to the vet within 18 hours. The sooner the better. I got them in within 3 hours and the vet gave them charcoal and pumped them full of Intraveneous fluids.

So this JD is like a public service announcement to all you Bedge cat owners. Do not keep lilies in the house, The vet told me a story about a cat getting some lily pollen on his nose and the cat was dead within 18 hours!

Poor kitties.

I even wrote Wyden and Merkley about this issue, there is no warning on lilies telling consumers that they are freaking extremely deadly to our feline friends!

I have never seen the Rose Garden crowd so fired up throughout an entire game!

You guys were absolutely amazing! Muting out the Suns starting lineup with chants of LETS GO BLAZERS!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP!!! The Blazers were down the entire game and the energy and intensity from the fans never let up for a second. DE-FENSE   DE-FENSE! was the norm for 48 minutes of play. Seeing the Garden packed and hopped up on goofballs before the tip was awe inspiring, so I thought. But at the end of the night with 1 minute left I realized that was nothing. The Portland faithful busted out in a chant of LETS GO BLAZERS, clap clap clap clap clap! Everyone knew the season was over, but you showed the TNT broadcasters and the national audience what it means to be a Blazer fan. I know that every franchise claims to have the best fans in the league, but we are truly the best of the best, the elite, us characters are going to Top Gun.

There's this website... Freekibble.com , Every day they have a trivia question and when you answer it 10 pieces of kibble are donated to local animal shelters. Whether or not you give the correct answer. The blazers organization just did that "adopt a trail blazer" event for the humane society and I figured if a few BEdgers could spare a second of their time every day some dogs wouldn't go hungry. It was started by a little girl in Bend too.

Finally the trade deadline is over and no more talk about vince carter, Jefferson, salmons, deng, heinrich, scottie pippen or brett favre in exchange for ala abdulnabi and Damon Stoudamire. Trade talk is kinda fun and all but lord have mercy I've had my fill this season.

I digress, My opinion is that Blaze the trail cat is a lame mascot. Let's give him the boot and get a real symbol for oregonians to cheer, I'd rather have a beaver than a mythical "trail cat." Hell I would even be in favor of a mallard.

So I was at the game last night and there was a group of young guys behind me rooting for the blaze like all good fans should do, and they were in the last row possible. They were drinking beer and cheering, and actually chanting defense... defense whenever prompted by the P.A. even in the first. They were'nt cussing or being obnoxious, just high spirited. Someone snitched on them and they apperantly had a flask and were escorted out in the third quarter. They were'nt even causing a scene.

Were they just good ol' boys drinking whiskey and rye or...

Were they hoodlums who should have paid $8.00 a beer like everyone else?

I was only eight years old when we played this game so I don't remember too much about either of these players. Anyone who remembers what they contributed could you fill in the blanks here? By the way I'm betting we'll go 4-0 on this eastern swing. Go Blazers!!! You're the one wyatt.
