I WON THE GABY SANCHEZ TWITTER CONTEST!!
Being a huge marlins, I happen to follow Gaby Sanchez and Lomo on twitter. So Gaby had a contest to show how big of a MArlins fan you are. I submitted my photo and won! I win some sort of signed item. I don't really care what it is, I am just happy I actually won something. I just thought I would let Fish Stripes nation know that i represented. Hopefully this can give you a good laugh, as I had fun creating it!
Here is the photo lol Joy Riding

Marlins Jose Fernandez: From Cuba to the MLB
It took Jose Fernandez four attempts, and the near drowning of his mother, to flee from Cuba. This wouldn't deter a young man from accomplishing his dreams.
The Cuban native is from the small town of Santa Clara, Cuba. Fernandez started playing baseball at the age of five. As a youth, he pitched the Cuban National Championships three times. Although he might have been a star in Cuba, he had one dream and that was to play in the MLB.
His father, Ramon Fernandez, made it to America in 2005 and found a home in Tampa Bay. This forced Jose, still in Cuba, to become the man of the house at an early age. In order to achieve his goals, Fernandez knew he would have to follow his father's steps.
Getting to America wasn't the easiest of tasks. Due to failed attempts, Fernandez spent time in jail.
"You had no clothes, except the clothes you had on your back. And there was no shelter in these prisons. When it rained, you got wet; it was freezing. You got treated like an animal," said Fernandez.
MLB Draft 2011: Florida Marlins pick Jose Fernandez in the First Round
With the first round selection, the Florida Marlins draft Jose Fernandez- a hard-throwing right handed Floridian. With some loose ends in the five-man rotation, the Marlins are looking to bolster the pitching. This decade the Marlins have had a history of going after pitchers, so this draft pick isn’t far from the norm.
So why not draft a left-handed pitcher you ask? To be honest, I have no idea but this kid seems to have a strong arm with a nice slider as an out pitch. He pumped it up and touched 98 mph at the 2010 AFLAC All-American Game. The scouting report says he has a nice 12-6 breaking ball but needs help with his release point. The positive with drafting this kid is once he gets his command down, he’ll be able to move up the ranks quickly.
As a sophomore, he pitched the Class 6A title game which gave Alonso High School its first state title. Fernandez went 13-1 as a senior, posting a 1.35 ERA and 134 strikeouts. Throughout his career at Alonso, he went 30-3 while striking out 314 batters.
Fernandez should be a good fit in Miami, coming from Cuba only three years ago. His high school coach believes the atmosphere will suit well for the young man.
Can Fernandez become the next big thing in South Beach? Only time will tell.
Ross is not happy
This is the second consecutive home game in which our owner has not been in the locker room after the game. I don't know about you, but this doesn't look good for Tony Sparano and company. They have been trying to make corrections and I give him that but the Offensive problems are over-masking him as a coach.
Personally, I like Sparano's enthusiasm and commitment to our team. He is a leader and most definitely a quality guy. But I have a feeling it's not going to go so well for him this off-season. Ross is certainly an entertainer and when his home games aren't selling out, this could guide his decision-making simply because that is who he is. But we'll see I guess. I'm in Sparano's corner on this one but the OC needs to bail soon!
