First time caller, short time listener - but thanks Charlie, it's been rewarding every time I visit the site.

In regards to the upcoming Draft, PattHatt brought up a compelling point concerning strategy with "Performance & Experience" vs. "Potential & Timing". It's made me think quite a bit and I don't come down on one side or 'tuther with any noticeable thump - but one thing Littlefield proclaimed early in his tenure was building the farm system with pitching as it's still foremost for a successful club (in my opinion as well) and a glut of that position can be turned more easily into position slots than vice versa.

In what still seems to me as an unnatural occurrence of injuries to the "fabulous 'B's' (Bullington, v.Benschoten & Burnette), wouldn't this basic premise still work for this particular PBC's development woes?

Goodness knows I'd love to see a homegrown stud at one of the corners, but should we be dismayed if the current administration continues to embrace the "Pitching First" draft strategy?
