Arrowhead Pride Look people its gonna be tough...

I've spent hella money on buying Chiefs tickets this season.  Texans, Raiders, and Giants. All Losses. But I'm still a fan and in fact I'm still optimistic about this team. The team has talent they just need to click and after they get that first win, its going to open the floodgates. It should have happened against the Cowgirls but now it looks like the Redskins are gonna be the Chiefs bitches. Its gonna happen and I think its this week.

A little bit about me: Just found out I'm getting layed off Dec. 30th, After 5+ years with the company. Christmas is gonna be rough but, hey, at least I am gonna be free for football games after dec. 30th thanks to owebama with my unemployment checks.

Arrowhead Pride Chiefs vs. AFC west...

My opinion on how the Chiefs will do against division rivals.

**Raiders** This will be our easiest 2 games of the year. Especially the home opener. However I see us giving up some "deep" balls and allowing some unneccessary points due to DHB and Jamarcus Russell. These will be some suprisingly high scoring games with the Chiefs coming out on top.

**Broncos** I think we are going to win one and lose one. I think we may lose the last game of the regular season against the Broncos because hopefully we will have clenched the division by then and will be conserving for post season play. Also I think that by then the Broncos will have cleared up their issues

**Chargers** Obvoiously our toughest rival currently. If Larry Johnson steps up his play and Cassel can get the ball in "Somewhere over Dwayne Bowe"s hands I think we stand a good chance.

Arrowhead Pride Motorcycles at Arrowhead...?

I was wondering about parking motorcycles at Arrowhead stadium. Does it cost the same amount as a car? Is there a certain area that is designated as motorcycle parking? I'm thinking about going to the Chiefs Raiders home opener. I just hope that it does not rain like it did during the Texans preseason game. So if anyone has any tips on taking a motorcycle to Arrowhead stadium I would greatly appreciate it and I'm sure there are many others wondering the same thing.

Arrowhead Pride Its the weekend finally, how about a fun post... Star Wars Style!

We all know about Don Pioli and the sopranos mafia themed ideas of recent. I propose the same thing except with the theme of Star Wars. I also propose this weeks picture contest to be star wars / chiefs themed. Same rules as last time, winner will be chosen next Friday by most rec's. However no category for photoshoped and non photoshoped because I imagine most of the entries will be photoshoped. Even if the photo is unphotoshoped with a funny caption it will be a valid entry.  I would like to see some creative nicknames for the Chiefs staff also. Also I would like to recognize matt_grbac for the whole photo contest idea. Good Luck and May the force be with you.

Please hit the rec button so everyone will see it before it becomes drowned in the AP soup.

Arrowhead Pride Incoherent ramblings part 2 By: Grand Master A

I'm sitting here drinking on a cheap bottle of scotch and I just thought I would let everyone know that I just found out that my girlfriend is pregnant. I'm in Wichita and a majority of my company is moving to KC towards the end of the year and most likely will get laid off. They have already canned the matching contributions on our 401k's. but otherwise life is good. Got a good house, good woman, a motorcycle and I'm just wishing it was a little warmer. I thought that i would list a few of my most recent comments and opinions about the good 'ol chefs.

1. The draft, Im not real into the draft like some people around here are with all the scenarios and whatnot, but I think that the main focus should be on the defensive side of the ball.

2. The situation with the broncos, I love it, I have been talking so much crap to my coworkers that are assfans

3. The picture competition was an awsome idea on here, Matt Grbac gets credit for the idea, its just too bad my  "germ" series didnt win anything. I await the next challenge.

4. I've checked the Raiders blog and they think that the rest of the afc west is in turmoil and that they are going to win the division. I thought about posting a link to some kind of psycologist or somthing.

5. I'm still not a fan of trading in the division unless its a not so spectacular player or a punter or somthing insignificant like that.

6. Ive lost many hours of my life watching games and hard knocks on that website that korrupt posted a while back and was recently reposted by woodman.

7. Is there any Royals fans in the house?

8. My favorite cigar is the Rocky Patel Decade.

9 . I hope Im not annoying too many people with my  "color blogging" you know like color commentary.

Arrowhead Pride Wow, What a day of Blogging!

I've been blogging on this site for about a month now and yesterday and today have to be the most entertaining days yet. One person referred to us as acting like middle school girls in the bathroom or somthing like that when we were trying to figure out who the Chiefs signed that day. I thought that was hilarious. Another thing I found to be hilarious was referring to Pioli as a mob boss named Don Pioli. I'm such a fan of AP now that I'm considering an internet capable cellphone so i can read posts at work. So, Thanks for putting up with my mostly idiotic posts and comments and not giving me too much crap for them. Here is my thoughts and opinions on the current events:

1. All this talk of trading within the division I don't like. I don't want Cutler on the Chiefs and I like the idea of Cassel being our starter.  I believe its the same people who wanted shanahan to come coach the Chiefs that now want Cutler to QB the Chiefs. (Sorry, the Broncos are my most hated team, and Elway is my most hated player ever)

2. I believe that Engram is a good acquisition for the Chiefs for his ability but mostly for his leadership during this transition in which we will most likely be drafting a new WR. (Bowe is no leader but could be an awsome student also)

3. The apparant shift in style of defense has gotten me interested in how the current players will be implemented and how it will affect players like Glenn Dorsey.

4. I'm for keeping Larry Johnson on the team and giving him a chance under the new management. But one more screw up and bye bye.

5. Tony G. Has earned enough respect and admiration from the team, the fans and the league that if the man wants a trade then that request should be honored, but if he is as half as intrigued as i am about this next season then I expect he will want to stay.

6. Pioli might be the best thing to happen to the Chiefs since I've been following them. circa early '90s.

7. The most awsome Chiefs play I have seen live was 2 years ago in week 6 where Huard threw Gonzalez the pass that gave Gonzalez the TE record for TD's.

Thats all i have for now,

sincerely, Grand Master A

Arrowhead Pride Assgate - The essential information.

Many of you have heard of and are familiar with spygate, tradegate, and anklegate. Now a new theroy has come up, Assgate.  Some believe that the botched 3 way trade with the Broncos, Dolphins and Patriots may still go through. How would that ever happen? Well there is a 4th trade partner now and some say it is another team in the AFC west.  There has been talk of Jamarcus Russel being brought in to Denver on their blog site and apparantly Jay Cutler has already closed on a house in South Florida. What is not clear is New Englands part in this debaucle. Thats all i could get for now.

Arrowhead Pride Interesting article I found about Pioli and Cassel

PIOLI THINKS CASSEL HASN’T SIGNED FRANCHISE TENDER

Posted by Mike Florio on February 21, 2009, 9:36 p.m.

Despite past reports to the contrary, Chiefs G.M. Scott Pioli believes that Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel has yet to sign his franchise tender.

He’s hasn’t signed. You can’t trade for a player that’s not signed under contract,” Pioli said Saturday in response to a question regarding whether the Chiefs will try to trade for the man Pioli drafted in the seventh round four years ago.  “That’s my understanding.  I haven’t looked into it far enough.  But I believe he hasn’t signed . . . I don’t think . . . I think two or three franchise players have signed.  I don’t think he has, I don’t think.”

It might be a ruse by Pioli, since if he were serious about doing such a deal Pioli would know that Cassel had signed.

Or maybe Pioli was occupied with other things when news broke of Cassel signing the tender, such as identifying assistant coaches to be offered employment.

Or maybe Pioli is right.  Maybe Cassel hasn’t signed the tender.

If he hasn’t, Cassel will be a free agent as of February 27, and he will be free to negotiate a contract with other teams.  So it would be in Cassel’s interest for the truth to be known, so that teams will realize that they are permitted to talk to his agent.  That’s why we think that, if Cassel truly hadn’t signed the tender, someone from Cassel’s camp would have leaked that fact.

For our Monday item at SportingNews.com, we’ll be looking at the potential destinations for Cassel, and why most of the obvious ones likely won’t come to pass.

Arrowhead Pride Kansas City area Mcdonalds beware...

Weird story of the week -- Todd Haley, Owens' wide receivers coach in Dallas, filed a $1.7 million lawsuit against McDonald's on behalf of his family after his wife and live-in nanny found a dead rat in their salad.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4176/is_20061029/ai_n16811720.

I just thought I would reiterate this after Haley was officially the coach. After further review of this story I think its wierd because arnt rats rather large like a pound or two? must have been a big salad to hide a rat inside.

And on another topic, I see that guppy has quite the cult following. I'll get ahold of him and tell him to start posting again soon.

Arrowhead Pride Still wondering...

I heard from a reliable source that Bill Cowher was spotted in K.C. There are rumors that he owns a house already there too. If they hire Haley he will only be there 1 years until Cowher takes over.  The other possibility is a front office position for Cowher. That one thing that I cant believe , they should draft quarderbacks because Huard is washed up and cant start all year probably, Edwurds works at nfl.com i think

Arrowhead Pride Somthing has to be said

Whats wrong with a lot of you? Does the fact that Mike Shanahan was with the Chiefs biggest rival for however many years mean anything. He is tainted. If he somehow became head coach of the Chiefs wouldn't that be a conflict of intrests? Remember he has lived more than a decade in Denver and probably has a lot of friends there.  Is the rivalry not that big of a deal anymore? Have I gone mad? Are we living in a fantasy world?

Arrowhead Pride Thoughts...

I sure hope that the Chiefs are going to get an up and coming head coach rather than a retread. And I hope they certainly dont get one of those coaches that people have said want too much control. In my opinion I think Haley would make a good coach or even our own Chan Gailey.  And if that doesnt work out then I understand that mad Cowher disease is coming to town. Other changes I hope happen are at the QB position, Im not sold at all on Thigpen and even if we have to get a vetran starter for a year or two to find a good one Im ok with that.
