The Pirates' offense has shown some life today.  The Rockies have looked awful defensively.  Chacin's debut for the Rockies didn't go too well.  Ohlie has pitched well today.  Hope the bullpen doesn't blow it again.  Need filler, so what does everyone think will become of Daniel McCutchen?  Could be a number four or five but doesn't look like he is going to get a chance with Hart, Maholm, Duke, Ohlie, Morton, Lincoln and Alderson.

I'm not really sure why this is happening now.  After skipping one of Owens' starts and limiting his last start to three innings, it seems like they are cutting down on his innings.  Which, if they are, begs the question why promote when he is only going to get minimal work.  I'm not complaining because his promotion was long overdue, I'm just curious as to why it's happening now.  Any ideas?

Lincecum is destroying the Pirates, until the 6th when they managed to put together an error and a 2B with a couple productive outs for two runs.  An absolutely terrible defensive game for the Pirates.    Could be a new K high for Lincecum (previous high is 13).   At least it won't be three straight shut outs.  Really not much more to say.  Must get to seventy five words. six, five, four, three, two, one.
