CUT RASHEED AND PLAY 8-9 GUYS
It's time to cut Sheed. This was a bad idea from the get go. The experiment hasn't worked. While I understand hind sight is 20/20, it's ok to admit the truth. The C's shouldn't have signed him. He showed up with man breasts and clearly out of shape. Once again he is at or near the top of the league in technical fouls, even though he plays only 20 min. per game. I believe he has infected and stunted the growth of Perkins as well. Cutting Sheed would not only get his soft D and crappy attitude out of sight and out of mind but would also open up time for those more deserving. It is also time the C's start playing 8 to 9 guys. Aside from our starting 5, it would be best if we played Nate, Davis, and Finley. The rest of the team can get minutes when available. Shelden and Daniels would still find some time but we need to get a rotation set. I have to say I am disappointed with the teams lack of desire and overall hustle.
TRADES, FREE AGENTS, & CEMENT SHOES
As I posted before the season started I was worried about Sheed joining the Celts. I wasn't worried so much about his baggage but more about his effort and conditioning. What intangibles was he bringing to the table?I thought we could do better to be honest. Now after watching more than half the season go by I'm worried about the cement in all of the Celts shoes. Is it just me or have the C's lost their fire? I just don't see the desire to get after it, and if they have the energy to be the leagues most trash talking team they ought to have enough energy to fight all the way in to the 4th quarter and stop blowing games they had wrapped up all the while running their traps. I must agree if we have any hope of salvaging the season Ray must go. Not because their is any problem with one of the classiest players in the league but we have a real chance to acquire some players who could help us now and in the future. As another C's blogger said, if Ray wants to come back so badly, he can do so next season as a free agent. While we are already spending a god awful amount we could go for Iguodala and Dalembert for Ray, Baby, and a draft pick. The trade does work under NBA rules. Yes we would be taking on some heavy contracts but we aren't going anywhere with this team barring Lebron, Dwight, Joe, and Kobe all being abducted along with Mulder's little sis. No wonder Ainge wanted Tyreke Evans. Let's hear what ya think Celtic Nation.
Baby for Outlaw... Hmmm
I like Big Baby Glen Davis and I will be very happy if he returns to the Celts but since Danny seems determined to move him, or so we hear, it would be wise to consider Travis Outlaw. Rumor is that Portland has a crush on our boy and wants a back up big who can hit an open mid range jumper. Well wouldn't the Celts like an big 3 who can play 4 in a pinch... I think so. And after watching last years playoffs I think we need a long 3 to spell Pierce more than we need Davis to back up Perkins, Garnett, and Sheed. Outlaw can hit 3's, play defense, and is only 24 years old. I think this Outlaw would be more of a need than Davis with our current roster although you still need someone not named Mikki to play C/F. What ya think Celtic nation? Outlaw stats below.

Dont stop spendin it now...
Don't stop spending it now... Can we please still add a couple of younger and defensively capable guys such as Zaza Pachulia and Dahntay Jones? They would look awful nice coming off our bench. I'm just not very comfortable with Sheed and Hill being our only free agent signings when it comes time to play in your grill D at playoff time. Dahntay would be very helpful in guarding Lebron. You know we most likely are gonna have to get by them to reach the Championship... and Zaza, who's most famous for getting into Garnett's grill during the playoffs, would offset our apparent loss of Big Baby and Leon. I would also like to see how much the Za might improve when Garnett's in his grill all season long.
