Thought this would be a good time for a new music thread since we haven't had one for a while, with the release of the 2011 Lollapalooza line up. I know not everyone is a fan of the big music festivals, but I'm really looking forward to this year's line up.

Thought this would be a good time for a new music thread since we haven't had one for a while, with the release of the 2011 Lollapalooza line up. I know not everyone is a fan of the big music festivals, but I'm really looking forward to this year's line up.

The headliners are Eminem, Foo Fighters, Cold Play and Muse.

I assume everyone knows what they sound like. And while I'm interested to see them, it's the undercard that led me to buy the three day ticket this year.

These are some of the non-head liners that I'm really looking forward to seeing there:

Manchester Orchestra (at the Metro soon if you're a fan), The Naked and Famous, The Joy Formidable, Cults, Best Coast, Two Door Cinema Club, Cold War Kids, Kid Cudi, Smith Westerns, White Lies, The Cars, Deftones, Deadmau5 and Lissie (she does an indie cover of Pursuit of Happiness, interested to see if she'll play it with Kid Cudi there on the other stage).

For those going, who are you looking forward to seeing, or who would you want to see if you did go?

Any other good new music you've recently discovered or good shows coming up in the area?

As I sit here today, picking up the pieces, remembering the good times with our pal the Gentleman Masher, it became quite obvious that this will not be the end of this story. Sometime, could be May, could be June, maybe even late April, Kenny Williams is going to wake up and realize, that yes, he is the general manager of an American League baseball team. It will be at that point he will begin to understand that putting together arguably the best pitching staff in baseball only to see Mark Kotsay play on a regular basis was a very poor decision. Possibly the worst decision of his career. And this is the same guy who traded Nick Swisher for Jeff Marquez & a pair of excellent goggles, so that's saying something.

At this time, he's going to start looking for a DH replacement. So the question is, who leaves? Who comes in? When does it go down?

Prize as always.. bragging rights.

I'll start with June 1st, Dayan Viciedo, random non-Hudson pitcher in a deal for Dan Uggla. I know.. he's right handed, but he has reverse splits, so he'd be fine, not that we can be picky at this point anyways. Getting expensive for the Marlins, if they are out of it at all, he will be moved. Could do some damage at the cell, and Ozzie can have a guy who can technically play the field.
