Mike Brown Fails At Marketing
So the Bengals have a new tactic. Buy 4 club level season tickets get a free....wait for it.....wait for........JERSEY! OMG a jersey!!!! This totally beats the crap out of 4 free popcorns and cokes!
I've been waiting to see what Brown did for the fans that bought season tickets for this upcoming year, and well, I'm unimpressed. It's a solid gesture, but I wish Brown would have tied it in to something like DirecTV Sunday Ticket.
Why Sunday Ticket? Mike Brown will pay for half of your Sunday Ticket Subscription if you buy season tickets. This makes the fans that buy Sunday Ticket feel a little less silly for paying $400 bucks for Sunday Ticket, and then buying season tickets.
A jersey doesn't get people thinking about buying tickets. It's a nice token, but that's it. Offering to pay for something like half of a Sunday Ticket subscription makes people think for a second.
Want to take advantage of the buy one get one offer?
Apparentaly a bengals.com moderator, @dennyg2, is providing his information via direct messages and the Bengals ticket people are letting many people use his information to take advantage of the buy one get one free offer.
Thus, if you don't have tickets yet but want to root our team into the playoffs this year, contact @dennyg2!
Also, I still need 17 more words? How about.....Lewis is great, Reed is good, but the Ravens better fear coming into our hood? WHO DEY!

Cedric Benson's NLRB Claim
So I'm not here to pimp another blog or anything like that, just figured I'd share this story I wrote. I originally wrote it for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology law blog, which can be found here: http://www.jetlaw.org/?p=9123 if you feel like reading it on it's original page. But I've included the story below, so as to not force you to go there to read it.

Pot Raids by Federal Authorities in California
Look, I don't want to jump to any conclusions here, but we all know that Jerome Simpson had investigators show up to his house to "surprise him" after they discovered that a 2.5 pound package of marijuana was sent from Eureka, CA to a house that he owns in Kentucky.
On Friday, CNN provided coverage of a number of actions taken by the Feds in the last few weeks relating to the distribution of marijuana, specifically the trafficking of marijuana out of the state of California.
Any connection? Heck if I know. Could definitely indicate that whoever this MJ was supplied to is viewed as very, very small fish in the middle of the ocean by the Feds.
Early Morning Double Shot
So I wake up today, and what do I see before 7:30? Two more shots at the Bengals by the media.
Over at ESPN, Rick Reilly is dishing out his season predictions, and has the Bengals going 0-16. Neat.
Over at the Boston Herald, Ochocinco is having trouble grasping the New England offense. Whose fault is that? Clearly, it is the Bengals fault. The Bengals did not run a very complex offense, and Chad didn't have to know what was going on around him. In New England, Chad has to know what is going on around him. This concept has apparently been difficult for him to grasp.
I'm not sure that any of us would argue with the statement "Chad has difficulty understanding what is going on around him." Moreover, haven't players complained in the past about the complexity of the Bengals offense? Weak reporting this morning. Let's prove 'em all wrong this year!

Jags will hire Bengals WR coach Mike Sheppard as their QB coach Monday. He's agreed to take job. Sheppard is a former NFL coordinator.
