Ryder Cup JD 10-01-10 (It's October in England)
The Ryder Cup (officially the Ryder Cup Matches) is a golf com between teams from Europe and the United States. The competition is jointly administered by the PGA of America and the PGA European Tour, and is contested every two years, the venue alternating between courses in the United States and Europe. The Ryder Cup is also the name of the trophy, after the person who donated it, Samuel Ryder.
The competition began following an exhibition match in 1926 between a team comprising American professionals against a similar one drawn from the British PGA on the East Course, Wentworth Club, Virginia Water, Surrey, UK. The first competition took place in 1927. (from Wikipedia)
An old college buddy of mine put together this beatbox version of the Blazers Theme Song just in time for the playoffs.

We're not the only Bedge
With the word "Bedge" now so thoroughly entrenched in the internet lexicon (or at least our internet lexicon), I got curious about what else in the world happens to go by the name of Bedge. It turns out we were not the first to claim such a moniker. Who knew there were so many Bedges out there?

Miami has their own version of Fatty!
With the exception of a "book it," this has to be the greatest Fatty impersonation I've ever seen. And this is only the first of this guy's posts in this thread. If you're running low on Thanksgiving Day entertainment, check this guy out.
"You people sadden me you are not real miami haet fans you are bandwagoners. Dont talk about what is going to happen tell me how tomake things happen. If you cant do that ask how to make it happen. I guess i might as well get to work. We really didn't have that much problems defensively in the paint it was the perimeter we are much better now with contesting shots. Brandon roy will be someone w@de wants to get back. So I know/belive he will play better de. on him because roy caused us to lose down the strech along with some other three point shooters oh yeah that chico. Greg Oden is not that much of a factor offesively and we know how to put that forearm in the back to keep him grounded he is a yao ming but a lot more limited i dont think he can shot so forceing him to while contesting him will significantly limit him. I am going to break down more de in a second im going to check the schedule then come back hit edit and finish this book or in other words page out the book. Okay its tommorow @ 10 and phoneix then la back to back. Are we serious i want you to say yeah Are you ready to show the world down here in miami we hav a ballin *** team video break down of the portland game needs to be ready by the time we get on the plane. As well as phoneix iwant to also have video break down of the teams we are heading to play . I want their offense to be broken down i want the video to point out what the team they were doing did wrong and we look at what we do in those spots we are going to see individual what we do better and how good our defense is compared to the other team therefore building our confidence as well as prepareing us further to plat that team we also will be seeing this team and each players tendencies never play with fear or in a panic mode i dont know about us runnng around like a chicken with no head but im addressing that now we always play under control phoneix plays slower we like to play faster i only care about stodimire which i will address some time late maybe not in this theirs something that i want to teach but when i see the game i can show it to you all specifically Ud and big men or anyon e under the rim on de and anywhere you can use it always use what i teach at anytime in the game to learn you have to think about what your taught and figure out in playing you'll learn more about it perfect it and become smarter. Now im talking about a key part to the box out which is the forearm it helps you hold ground as well as keep the defender at bay because of that forearm on him it will force him to shoot because he cant go no where else as well as it stops him from over powering you it makes his shots difficult especially when hes under the rim trying to lay it up because you might be caught under the rim hes going to turn to lay it up your right their next to him so you put one hand up and the other right on his rib put pressure on it but dont let it look like your trying to foul him your just playing hard nosed defense. Now the forearem is a seriuosly important tool against big men if its in their back they are dumbfounded they dont know what to do so they mess up get scared shoot or pass. I'll be watching the game so i can see ow much you understand as well as poin t any mistakes asap. Beasley lets start atacking the rim more before we shoot but if you feel that shot i guess you take it but be aware of your lanes w@de roy just out scored you he didnt out defend you you know you are a defensive specialist so i doubt you cant put him in jail (no homo) you now know he has a tendency to shoot so you know how to contest him and mean mugg him you know that when he drives to play de down to the point he shots a runner etc cause he can make them w@de the key to your game is your first step you dont need to double crossover whether its between the legs or behind e back once you have the first step that defender is gone so finish takeing him sometimes you'll allow the defender to recovery if you you stop to do more dribblei ng the point/and object is the first step you got that take him. Next speed your fast sometimes you dont use your speed to break them down know if your going fast enough and i mean that i a undercontrol way you can double cross hesitation dribble cross stop go play wit him and have him lost a lot of that has o do with the upper body movement and crouching position your in cause if you swinging from right to left or rocking properly he stuck and caught in the f..king matrix im get crum i want to show you better than i can tell you thats why sometimes artest can guard you now i said sometimes cause you do have the upper hand your w@de MR. Wade Like mr.carter two words youll never hear k.kerr (wade) Quit. Artest or any defender whos hard to shake yor not breaking him your not breaking him down. Something I love to do just like you. If i could be on that damn court we would be sick. Now all of you need to figure out what i told w@de cause you can incorparte that in your game. Im Angry right now i hate portland actually i hate all teams thats not miami especially when they beat us i want revenge i want to blood them meaning make them lose. Yo meditate on this for alittle the fams from orlando coming today so i got to clean up for moms but ill be back in a miami heat second. That jeezy is the itish as well as Mavado's im on the rock and we need barack check it out on utube. oh yeah chris your game is like steve /kidd/bibby in their good years"

Nate Costa's Redshirt Status
Discussion time!
Now that we know Nate Costa is out for the season with a torn ACL (again), I was hoping the good citizens of ATQ could provide some insight on the possibility of an extra redshirt year.
As I understand it, Costa was considered active in his true freshman year due to the fact that he saw game time. I specifically remember the Portland State game and wondering why Bellotti would waste Costa's redshirt year for mop-up duty in a blowout. Last year, Costa was using his non-medical redshirt year to preserve eligibility when he suffered his first ACL injury. It seems to me that since Costa has not used a redshirt for specific medical reasons (such as the recent injury) that he would at least have a chance of gaining an extra year of eligibility. Or am I incorrect, and is extra eligibility granted only in case of personal or family hardships, such as Sammie Stroughter's situation with OSCC last year?
Let the experts of the Duck world speak! And huck the fuskies.

Does anyone know the guys who run firetomhansen.com?
Hey guys, I checked out firetomhansen.com tonight and it looks really outdated. For example, Bill Moos is still listed as the Ducks' AD, and I didn't have any idea if the other presidents and ADs listed were current or not. If anybody knows the guys running the site, could you get a hold of them and see if they could update it? It would be nice if the firetomhansen.com signs at GameDay this Saturday led to a site that was current.
