How does Arb process actually work?
how does a player and a team pick how much a players worth? i only ask because i don't understand how Jeff Francoeur got what he got based on his bad overall season with the Braves last year. Francoeur link. i know they didn't go through the process but why would the Braves give him that much off of last years struggles? or am i just misguided on how much he struggled last year?

don't know if its accurate
he was one of my favorite angels, i remember him coming out of the BP and for a very short time he seemed really dominate before he hurt his arm.

Manny if no Teix
if the Angels decide to move on from Teix. i think the only other big bat on the market worth signing is Manny. i personally don't want the Angels to sign him. obviously he can hit, i just don't like all that personal drama that comes along with him. i would rather go after CC. even go after CC and Peavy.
so the question that i want to ask is do you think he would be willing to sign a 4 yr contract with each year only being a team option? no vesting, no mutual, no anything, only a team option every year of that contract. why would any player do that, esecially a guy like Manny? well maybe we give him some crazy money per year. something like 30M year where he and Boras might have to think about it. especailly with the fact that i've read somewhere he wants a 4yr contract no one seems williing to go that far, and that would make him the highest paid player in the league.

Leadoff Hitters
I like Figgins alot. i just don't like him @3B. if he was a Middle IF that would be fine. it doesn't matter if you sign Teix or not. its just 1 less bat in the lineup without power. when Kotch was here he didn't have too much power either soo it really showed in our lineup. i was wondering what do u you guys think about leadoff hitters. isn't that the main reason why everyone thinks we should keep him because he's our main leadoff hitter? only thing is most likely there's 9 diff leadoff hitters in the game. so i think having him around just to have a idealistic leadoff hitter is a waste unless he plays a traditional non-power position. what do u guys think?

Tex? good or bad
i'm an Angels fan. we traded for your guy Tex and i was wondering if you guys as Braves fans liked him? do you guys think he was worth the trade that you guys made to get him? if i was the GM for the Angels i wouldn't go further then 7/140 on him. i think the NYY, Redsox, and Orioles are going to go higher. i don't think he's worth the money. my simple logic is that he didn't help you guys get better when he came to the Braves, and he didn't help the Angels get any better when he came to us. i think he's all about stats and thats it. what do u guys think?

? about Tex
i'm an Angels fan, i was wondering if any of guys that are Ranger fans can tell me if you guys liked Tex as fan? was he well liked player down there? i like Tex, want the Angels to resign him, but not for the money i think he's going to get. most i would go is 7/140. if the NYY and Redsox want to pay more let them. i just think he's not worth the money, he looks like another A-Rod. cares only about stats.

Success
i know it's disappointing losing in the playoffs. as a fan since '86, just making the playoffs on a consistent level is a thrill. being considered a championship caliber team is awesome. would you guys be disappointed if the Angels don't win another World Series during this great run however long it last.(it can't last forever right?) i hear fans say we're becoming the Braves of this generation. is that completely bad? yeah they only won 1, underachieved in many eyes but they did make the playoffs for like 12 yrs. i look at the Marlins and see how they won 2 rings in '97 and '03. their young talent just came together and had a great run. then you look at the team inbetween the championships and look at the team now. they suck. trade them away and reload every 2-3 yrs. in perfect world we can consistently win and win some rings with it. so far it hasn't happened. i'm glad we dont' have the Marlins ownership here. look at the NYY, all that money and they can't figure it out except to throw money at the problem. i'm just glad we're on a successful run. yeah it would be nice to win another championship soon. i'm just going to enjoy it.

Glaus and D-Mac
What do u guys think about bringing back Glaus even if we sign or don't sign Tex, if he's on the Trade market? Cards need a middle IF, we definitely have plenty of those. Aybar and Pitcher(Mosely type) for Glaus. 1 yr left on his contract. Not too big of a risk. it would help the cards with freeing up more money for them to get FA and help us get a est. power hitter at 1 of the corner IF spots. Have any of you guys seen D-Mac's stats down in AAA. if he gets his shot next season with the Marlins, if will be interesting what he can do when he's healthy. his power potential is amazing.
