H Barnes - Rookie Ladder | NBA.com

8 Harrison Barnes : GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS The Warriors are mired in a five-game losing streak but Barnes is statistically having one of his best months. In 28.4 minutes, Barnes is averaging 12.0 points while shooting at a 58.6 percent clip (4-for-9 on 3s). The numbers are impressive for the rookie, considering he's often the fifth option on the floor. Makes you wonder what kind of stats he'd put up on a team where he was one of the primary scoring options. Exactly my thoughts, If he was on the Wiz for example, he would be averagin 20 pts a game. He's got talent, I think he'll be and allstar someday. Just needs a larger role. I say put him AHEAD of Klay Thompson. He barely plays in the 4th Q and gets very rare plays called for him. Matter fact, I think we should try to trade Klay before the deadline. Evan Turner seems like a good fit to me, and makes sense for the 6ers.

Curry Officially in the 3pt Shootout. Barnes and Klay on TeamShaq

Announced on TNT just now. CP3: "Steph gon win. Stephen Curry gon win." Lillard-Irving-Klay-Barnes-Drummond is TeamShaq's starting five!

ESPN's "The best deals for top trade targets" says we should trade for Paul Pierce

16

This trade is absolutely ridiculous. Horrible move for us. Winter: Pierce and Jason Terry to the Warriors for Harrison Barnes, Jarrett Jack, Richard Jefferson and Festus Ezeli. Barnes has quietly had a good rookie season for the Warriors, already offering value as a "three-and-D" type while showing flashes of star power as an individual scorer. His ceiling is relatively akin to an in-prime Pierce, actually, and Boston rids itself of Terry's three-year deal in this scenario, too. Golden State is one of the league's biggest surprises, but to be anything more than that this season, it'll need to make a move. Acquiring Pierce, still an elite two-way player, could be just the one who makes the Warriors a true contender.

Steph Moves Up MVP Ladder

6 Stephen Curry : Golden State Warriors STATS FROM LAST WEEK (1/25-1/31): 21.3 ppg | 1.3 rpg | 4.3 apg | 0.7 spg Warriors fans cringe every time Curry takes a step these days, frightened that something else will happen to his ankles. What they don't need to worry about is what the Warriors will do in his absence. Coach Mark Jackson's team is loaded and even better now that Andrew Bogut has returned. With the nucleus of their rotation healthy heading into the finals stretch of the season, coupled with the roster shake-up in Memphis, the Warriors have a legitimate chance to lock down a top four spot before the end of the month.

Curry Back on MVP Ladder (Even Though He's Not an All-star...)

3

8 Stephen Curry : Golden State Warriors STATS FROM LAST WEEK (1/18-1/24): 26.3 ppg | 3.0 rpg | 6.7 apg | 2.7 spg Warriors coach Mark Jackson is wrong, the coaches aren't better than that. They botch the reserves for the All-Star team on an annual basis. And Curry being left off of the list was a huge gaffe. That's fine. He'll get his due here. Kudos to David Lee, a most deserving All-Star in his own right, but the point guard shooting 46 percent from beyond the 3-point line and leading his team with 20.9 points, 6.6 assists and 1.7 steals is supposed to be on that team.

Got some Warriors mentions - he thinks Lee should make it but Curry wouldn't have space.

Rookie Ladder | HB Up to 4

4 Harrison Barnes : GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS Barnes has found his shooting groove again in January, and he's doing a good job letting the game come to him. In five games this month, the UNC product is averaging 13.0 points on some ridiculous shooting numbers -- 55.3 from the field, 66.7 from 3-point land. It's a small sample size, but coach Mark Jackson wants to see the Black Falcon (Barnes' self-given moniker) come out. "It takes us to a different level when he's attacking and aggressive," Jackson said. "At all times he's on the floor, I want his foot on the gas pedal. I want him to force me tell him, 'Slow down, young fella.'"
