Albert's Dream - The Movie

Albert Pujols rose quickly through the Cardinals minor league system. Near the end of the 2000 season, he was promoted to AAA Memphis, where he helped the Redbirds win the league championship. But, rising star or not, Albert had a family to feed. He moved in with wife Deidre's parents in Kansas City, and labored at a local country club, planning parties.

And then, one night, Albert had a dream.

Albert was standing by a river and there came up out of the river ten cows, sleek and fat. And, behold, ten more cows, ugly and gaunt, came up out of the river and stood beside the others on the riverbank. And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the ten sleek, fat cows. And Albert awoke.

Then Albert slept and dreamed a second time. Behold, ten ears of corn, healthy and good, were growing on a single stalk. After them, ten more ears of corn sprouted, thin and scorched by the east wind. And the thin ears of corn swallowed up the ten healthy, full ears. And Albert awoke.

The next morning Albert's spirit was troubled. He told Deidre of his dream, but she could not interpret it. So Albert prayed to God, asking for guidance.
