History, Peaks and Mike Trout

Mike Trout is well on his way to one of the greatest three-year stretches the MLB has ever seen, trailing only Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, Mickey Mantle, Rogers Hornsby, Willie Mays and Ted Williams. Not bad company.

C.J. Wilson Needs Surgery

Guess he has been playing hurt.

Wally Joyner on BYUTV Legends

I thought this was a nice piece on Wally that you Angel fans that don't frequent BYUTV might enjoy.

Trout Stark's first half AL MVP

"what really separates Trout from Hamilton, said one AL GM, is that there are so many more ways these days for Trout to alter a game."

Vote for "The Catch"

Don't forget to go to Sports Center and vote for Mike Trout's catch as the Best of the Best.

Just my rant about MLB blackout rules

We live in a small town about 40 miles south of Salt Lake. We moved here from Yorba Linda 9 1/2 years ago and have continued to watch and support the Angels My wife made it a condition of us...

New TV Deal Reported to be at least $150 mil a year

The Angels have agreed to a new deal with Fox Sports worth at least $3 billion and expected to cover 20 years, two parties familiar with the deal said Thursday. The parties declined to be identified because the deal has yet to be officially announced.

Incoming TV money explains Pujols signing -- and why the Dodgers will be back, one of these days

"When you consider the probability that the Angels will be getting more than $1 billion from Fox over the life of Pujols' contract, then absorbing those final $25 million-a-year seasons or whatever they are, even after he's over-the-hill, doesn't seem so vexing. Pujols is spongeworthy, and the Angels are going to have a lot of sponges."

Angels talent almost ready for 'Show'

...the system produced a spate of top prospects, some of whom made their Major League debuts. Others, such as Topps/Minor League Player of the Year Mike Trout, will be arriving in Anaheim before long.

On Being a Fan

As my signature line states, I am a fair weather fan. I feel no shame in admitting it and I have never taken offense when someone accuses me of it. To be honest, I have difficulty understanding the...

Vote for Keven Frandsen's Web Gem

Keven Frandsen's diving stop in the hole was a web gem last night. Vote to make it the top one at http://espn.go.com/mlb/ at the bottom center of the page.

Figgins wins Jayson Stark's first half AL Least Valuable Player award.

I know a lot of you were unhappy seeing Chone Figgins go, especially to another team in our own division, but this year is showing something that I said last year. Chone had a career year last year and as a speedster, he had reached his prime. As much as we need offense right now, I don't think having Figgins would have helped much.

Scot Shields is confident struggles are over

I hope so. The more interesting part of this article is about who will fill the void in the rotation.

Dallas McPherson leads the minors with 39 home runs

I though this would be of interest to Angel fans.  With an 1.108 OPS, it looks like he is finally getting healthy.  I always liked him and was sorry he had the back problems when he was with the...

Out of towners need help

I just checked my tv schedule for the week so I could set up my DVR to record the Angels games and it looks like I will be able to see three of the six between now and Sunday.  Tonight's and...

ESPN has awarded Schilling a Cy Young

Check it out... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3291118 The funny thing is they have had it up for a full day now and haven't changed it.  I thought it may have been an AP screw up...
