I'm taking vacation in Hilton head and we're playing the Rays this week. That's a can't miss series and i'll be real bummed if its not on television, so just wondering if braves baseball is on television in South Carolina.

So Heyman has tweeted a few opinions including Cabrera being traded to the cubs, AND also tweeted that "before getting javy, #yanks definitely talked to #cubs about zambrano, who appears eminently available"

First of all hopefully these two tweets are not related because in no scenario do i want Zambrano, most importantly because of his famous temper tantrum. Second of all... I can't think of any cubbies that I'd be overly excited about getting for someone we just acquired and we do not know how Cabrera will fare in Atlanta.

But the big rumors were when i was looking at the different yankee rumors and found one that mentioned atlanta and brought me to this..

This has Stark from ESPN talking about Atlanta's salary dump from Javy and may be pursuing Damon or Bay w/ the assumed $9 mil left. Immediately I thought there's no way Damon will come for $9 mil if he was adamant on New York giving him a 2 yr $20 mil deal. Then i heard some rumors about Damon mentioning before that he would like to play in Atlanta because it is close to home. So some questions I have are:

Could Damon give a hometown discount for Atlanta and settle for only 1 yr $9mil?

If we acquire Damon, does that leave us open to trade Cabrera?

Am I just drawing too many conclusions?

Either way my stance is that i DO NOT want Damon anywhere near Atlanta.. I do not like him as a person, and i do not like him that much as a player.Sure he's an upgrade from Anderson but by how much?

I do not know if I'm alone when i say that my faith in Frank Wren has definitely been shaken this offseason. As we all know Cox is leaving next year. Our hopes are for a  world series for his last season. Does anyone see us getting that far if the season started today? Certainly we'd be in contention but...
