Channel 11 posted a story on CJ's visit with BaD Radio yesterday. Included in the story is the link to the audio of the interview. Here's the story:

http://cbs11tv.com/rangers/CJ.Wilson.Rangers.2.763395.html#btn_mc

That's not the entire interview, but it's the majority of it. And it includes all of the "juicy" stuff that has created a buzz since it aired.

I wish the archives on this site still contained the posts that BGL wrote about GMJ. That was greatness. I have no doubt that GMJ is one of the people CJ is glad went away in the winter of 2006.

Since baseball is a talkin' sport, and I'm tired of watching this Cubs game, I figured I would come up with my choices for the starting position players for the 2008 MLB All-Star Game.

NOTE: I went by the positions at which the players are listed on the official ballot at www.MLB.com So the choices at a few spots (like DH and SS in the American League) weren't very attractive, regardless of who I decided on.

AMERICAN LEAGUE (all stats thru 06-21-08)

1B- Jason Giambi .260/.394/.564 156 OPS+ 17 HR 40 RBI

2B- Ian Kinsler .306/.364/.497 131 OPS+ 11 HR 46 RBI

3B- Alex Rodriguez .333/.413/.623 176 OPS+ 14 HR 41 RBI

SS- Michael Young .280/.334/.404 99 OPS+ 6 HR 38 RBI

OF- Milton Bradley .332/.452/.627 189 OPS+ 15 HR 48 RBI

OF- J.D. Drew .326/.432/.605 171 OPS+ 14 HR 44 RBI

OF- Josh Hamilton .316/.362/.583 151 OPS+ 19 HR 76 RBI

C- Joe Mauer .335/.419/.442 138 OPS+ 2 HR 29 RBI

DH- Hideki Matsui .324/.406/.462 135 OPS+ 7 HR 34 RBI

NATIONAL LEAGUE

1B- Lance Berkman .360/.444/.693 196 OPS+ 20 HR 60 RBI

2B- Dan Uggla .296/.377/.648 168 OPS+ 23 HR 57 RBI

3B- Larry Wayne Jones .393/.485/.631 196 OPS+ 16 HR 46 RBI

SS- Hanley Ramirez .300/.392/.530 144 OPS+ 16 HR 33 RBI

OF- Pat Burrell .276/.416/.580 155 OPS+ 18 HR 47 RBI

OF- Ryan Ludwick .300/.375/.617 158 OPS+ 16 HR 55 RBI

OF- Nate McLouth .290/.374/.548 142 OPS+ 15 HR 51 RBI

C- Brian McCann .307/.382/.558 148 OPS+ 13 HR 43 RBI

No DH spot on the ballot for NL, but since the game is at Yankee Stadium, they will use the DH. So I will make that:

DH- Albert Pujols .347/.475/.631 191 OPS+ 16 HR 42 RBI

The SS position in the AL is SO disgustingly bad. I was blown away by some of the numbers. Jeter, Young, Renteria, Orlando Cabrera--- they ALL suck. Francona should ask if he can play A-Rod at SS, and use another 3rd baseman instead of having to use any of the SS in the 2008 American League.
