Since I have been banned by Karma from the main game day post, I live for the pregame, and I'm here early, and I figured I'd try to hang out with whoever is here. So..... talk about the game today vs. the Colts until the front page pre-game post is up.

I like our chances against Indy, and I'll be satisfied, albeit disappointed, if we lose close. I'll be bitter about a blowout, but I'll be ECSTATIC with a win. I see that Manning has a sore glute. I hope he has it padded, because once he meets The King, he will be sitting on his butt a LOT. GO BRONCOS!

Segregated Positive Game Day Thread

OK, we talked about this last week. There are two factions: people who are exceptionally emotional, and those of us who want a game day thread focused on analysis. Here is the alternative to the regular post for those who wish to hang around with positive posts about our Broncos. If you don't want to be positive, or don't see any reason to, no problem. Just go to the regular front page game day thread.

However, if you choose to hang out in this post, please abide by the following guidelines (After the jump):

1. Please refrain from "doom and gloom" statements. If the Broncos are down 47-0 in the first quarter, go somewhere else to announce that the season is over. Do not pronounce a loss until the clock has expired in the 4th quarter.

2. Please do not say that any Bronco "sucks" (or any similar statements). This is a "he'll do better next time. GO BRONCOS!" thread.

3. Please do not announce plays as they occur. If you want a play-by-play, this is not your place. If we NEED a play by play, we will assign one person to do it, so 25 people don't post "FIRST DOWN!!!!!!" or "DOOOOOOMMMMM!!!" Simultaneously, thereby clogging bandwidth.

4. Please analyze what you see. If SD makes a good play,acknowledge, and suggest what the Broncos might do to counter. Call what you see, but don't go negative on the team! Thoughtful analysis is welcome, but unabashed negativity (or what some call realism) is not tolerated here. This is the Kool-Aid drinkers' thread, and the thread for those FOOTBALL fans who can separate their hatred and emotion during the game.

5. Please ignore those who are negative.

Hopefully this will work. This is a work in progress, so let me know how you think this works.

NFL Network Publicly Apologizes to McDaniels for selling him short.

I was shocked. I was watching NFL Network, unusual for me after a loss. The transition from the VIkings/Packers segment was weird! The screen went black, and the words "Dear Josh" appeared, scrawled in blue and orange across the TV.

Then, a montage of pundits and their quotes, from the day McDaniels was hired to the beginning of the season, including Jamie Dukes after Jamie freakin Dukes lambasting the new coach for his "rookie mistakes." The commercial ended with the words "sometimes we make mistakes, too.... - Sincerely, The Media" with strains of "I'm sorry" sung in the background.

Sadly, NFLN used this crow-eating piece to transition to a recap of the Bronco-eating Ravens game. Grrrrrr. Just when you get respect, you seem to blow it. But the analysts didn't seem to count Denver out... just counted this as a tough fight against a desperate team.

I'm looking for a link. If you find one, post it!

I thought it would be fun to discuss the Green Bay vs. Chicago game. I realize the game has nothing to do with the Broncos, but hey, I think we all know there is a vested interest in this game. Cutler Ostracizes Himself in Chicago

I have a little inside information from the Bears organization. One of my trusted coworkers was a high school coach of one of the Bears players (I do not want to name names of either player or coach here, because I do not want to potentially damage their relationship or prevent myself from getting further inside info). The player is quite a leader on the Bears team. Below the fold is what he told my coworker regarding Jay Cutler recently.

The player said (I'm paraphrasing the order, but using the same words that were used with me): "Jay's the strangest guy I've ever seen. He talks football on the field, but he doesn't hang out with anyone, doesn't socialize. He's just weird. He goes off by himself all the time. I've really never been around anybody like that. He's just a strange guy. He can throw that ball. It hurts when it hits your hand. But he the weirdest guy I've ever met."

You can make your choice as to how accurate you think this is. I know it's second hand information. But, it's insightful if it's true. I'm not trying to rag Jay, I just heard this, and I thought it was interesting. I'm just bringing it to you raw. Don't shoot the messenger. Rag me all you want for the "unnamed source!" LOL.

Interesting Anagrams

Some believe that anagrams tell many things about people and events. I have derived anagrams from several key issues to the Broncos right now. This may be pointless, but I thought it was fun, and I thought I'd share. Look below the fold for mystic anagram answers to questions regarding Orton, McDaniels, Cutler, and the Trade.

Let's start with our recent history. "Shanahan Cutler" yields some interesting anagrams, including "A Unclean Thrash," and the very obscene "Anal Search Hunt." But the most indicative, and clearest in relevance to the Broncos, is "The Annual Crash." How true!

Now let's look at "McDaniels Orton." The first anagram of relevance is "Claimed Torn Son" which I interpret to mean McDaniels claimed Chicago's "son" Orton, who had been torn (injured and rejected). The goofiest one was "Calmed Iron Snot," which makes no sense, unless someone is getting over a bloody nose, I guess. But the best anagram from "Orton McDaniels" is "Coronal Mindset!" That's right, folks. Get ready for the Broncos to be crowned champions!

Just to see what could have been, I paired McDaniels with Cutler. You won't believe the anagrams that appeared! "Cancelled Truism." "Mild Reluctances." "Miscreant Culled." "A Culled Centrism." "Accursed Ten Mill." I hope that last one isn't an indication of some sort of Red Sox-like curse. :::knocking fervently on wood....knuckles beginning to bleed:::

I analyzed "Cutler Chicago". The anagram was amazing: "The Crucial Cog." Wow. If you believe in this stuff, the Bears may be on their way to a coronation of their own!

For fun, I tried Peyton Hillis. I came up with "Noisy Hell Pit" (which is how I hope opposing defenses perceive him). Also, "Spoil thy Line," "Only Pile Hits," and "Hey, I'll Points" were of note. The last one needs an extra word to make sense, but we all get the gist. I wonder what his middle name is....
