I just thought I'd share this tidbit with you all.....HeatherChiefsLvr and SexAssassin are coming back to Kansas City the weekend of the Home Opener vs. Atlanta!

As we get closer to that time, I'll talk more about possible meet ups & an AP tailgating party.....etc. In the meantime, just be prepared!!!

So my sister has an unreasonable fear of birds. All birds. It started when she was about 7 and got chased by a wild turkey. A little bit older another kind of bird was trying to dive bomb on her. Last year while camping in San Simeon she had a pelican run straight at her, take off in flight just in front of her & nearly miss her head by inches as she ducked (it was going over the fish in the bait bucket of a fisherman behind her on the pier). Trust me, all of these scenarios are absolutely hilarious to those of us watching, but literally piss your pants frightening for my sister.

So her life's motto now is: IF IT FLIES IT DIES! So anytime we watch football she will cheer against any team with a bird. So no Falcons, no Seahawks, no Cardinals....you get the point. DEFINITELY no RAVENS! If it flies, it dies!

I remember in the off season seeing some predictions for our Chiefs this season. I remember several people posting their prediction for 8-8 or others who were really sipping the sizzurp, er uhh Kool-Aid who predicted an even better season, and reading the comments from everyone pretty much blasting them for being idiots. How can a team go from 4-12 to 8-8? We're rebuilding. No way, not with Matt Cassel. We have too many holes. I too said that I could see us being contenders in a year or 2, but certainly not this year.

But here we are..2 games left of the regular season. Can we do it? Can we actually make it to the playoffs? We will soon find out.

In the meantime, I can honestly say that I am very happy this season. I'm proud to be a Chiefs fan. I'm proud of our team. I can see the improvement. I can see Pioli & Haley's plans coming to fruition. I can see a future for the first time in years! So whether or not we actually make the post season this year, fear not fellow Chiefs fans....it's going to happen soon! :)

So my youngest son has been asking me for a Chiefs jersey for 2 years. I can never find one that I want to get him because it's hard for me to justifying $50+ on a jersey he's going to outgrow.

So last night we found a Holmes jersey at Marshalls for $5...hehe score. I love Holmes! At least it's not 2.7. It will hold him over until I find him a really good one of a current player.

I'm so ready for the KC/SD game in a couple weeks.....my jersey came in, gonna pick it up soon! I have a banner being made for tailgating. Tickets bought, hotel room booked. Man am I excited!!!

I'm officially going to the SD/KC game on 12/12/10!!

I will be posting info on a So Cal AP tailgating party soon.......And just to piss everyone off I will do it as a fanpost to make sure as many So Cal Chiefs fans here on AP can see it & participate.

My best friend only got into football & sports in general about 2 years ago. At the time she was dating a hardcore Steelers fan so she always rooted for them. But she never really had a team to call her own. She just rooted for whoever.

She flew out with me last year to Arrowhead to go to the Chiefs game & she bought shirts & stuff to show support. She cheered for them & had a great time. Several times we've donned our Chiefs attire & headed to the bar & she's had a great time, but still not really claiming a team of her own.

Well today....she wasn't watching the game with me, but was watching on her phone between errands & texting me all during the game. At the end with my excitement & the excitement of the "underdog" taking total control of the game....she was overcome with emotion. She told me she was so happy & excited she almost cried. Then she said the magic words...."I think I have found my team." She said if she's getting that emotional over the Chiefs, it's obvious that's where her heart is.....

Welcome my best friend Nadz....our newest Chiefs fan! (don't worry, I won't let her jump ship if we start losing....lol)

Oh yeah, it IS my birthday today....and I woke up to a nice "happy birthday" message from Sexassassin on my Facebook. And he said...no wonder our chiefs won this week, because it's their number 1 fans birthday! To which I replied...then that means we'll win this Sunday too because both games are in my bday week.

So there you have it....we're beating the Browns & going 2-0 into week 3.

So I temporarily have a Blackberry. My old phone died & I'm not due for my upgrade until then end of September. So my sister's girlfriend had a spare Blackberry that she wasn't using & I activated it knowing that a: I had no other options and b: it was going to cost way more money for me.

I told my sister & everyone that I will not be keeping this Blackberry because I don't want to spend $40 more a month to have it & I really won't use it anyway...blah blah....

THEN I DISCOVERED NFL MOBILE......
I'm in big trouble here. I can watch live games & get texts with Chiefs updates? Holy crap I'm in heaven......

I originally found AP and began posting when I was planning my first ever trip to Arrowhead Stadium to see our beloved Chiefs play. This was only my 2nd time ever getting to see them play live & I was so excited. So I came on here to get ideas & suggestions of places to go in KC while I was there, etc.

And you haven't gotten rid of me since....
