Female. 20. UK-Grimsby or Leicester. Photography and Video Student, cycling/football obsessed, more watcher than participator, though I enjoy taking my Trek out for spin at 5am and cruising by the beach for sunrise. If I'm not watching cycling, I'll probably be watching Leicester City, doing work or in a coffee shop ;)

I love most things Spanish, particularly the cyclists and the accent. I lust for a Pinarello Prince and an Audi S5. Fave riders/those i admire in no order? Valverde, Boonen, Contador, VandeVelde, Capecchi, LL Sanchez, Sammy Sanchez, Pereiro, Lovkvist, Rogers, Barredo, Deignan, Basso, Javi Moreno, Rodriguez, Erviti, Costa, Gilbert, Frischkorn, Roulston, Gerrans, Cataldo, Haussler, Sastre, Bennati, Fleeman, the Schlecks,Wiggins, Impey, J. Anthony, Cancellara, Kessiakoff, Canada, Portal, DZ, Hincapie, Sevilla, Hernandez, Navarro plus so, so many more!

I admire and find myself jealous of Tim de Waele and Timm Kolln plus many others. Working as a cycling photographer or photo journalist is my ultimate dream.

The link is in Spanish but basically he is talking to them. However, as the search for a new sponsor for Caisse d'Epargne is still ongoing, Unzue (Cd'E manager) wants to know what's going on and so far as I understand should he secure a new sponsor, then Luis would remain with them.

Got to say I'm surprised but not surprised. It's no big secret that he has friends there, him, Rojas and Valverde seem to train fairly often with Gesink, Freire, Ten Dam and JM Garate, but I thought that Contador would be keen to reunite with him. Curious either way!

Podium Cafe Albertina and Helsy33 stalked the Tour of Britain Stage 8

Ok, so technically I'm writing this, but Albertina has photos to offer and I'm sure she'll remember something I forgot. So I met up with PdC member Albertina ready for the start of today's stage, accompanied by my house mate. We did some team member stalking, had a very long walk to the start line and watched the race and the podiums. Good times were had...

Warning- Post is veeery photo heavy!

It seems Liberty Seguros are doomed (again) due to these three testing positive for that stupid drug CERA. Joy. Also means Spain need someone to take Guerra's place at the World Champs TT. I'd suggest his team mate but is that even safe anymore?!

The tests were conducted before the Tour of Portugal and the UCI has already informed the riders.

Podium Cafe I stalked Tour of Britain Stage 5!

Yes, similar to what I did for Stage 1, I attended today's stage which began at the Britannia Stadium...yes, that football ground in Stoke and ended somewhere in the city centre. I dragged along my house mate and we went to the start and finish.

Warning- Post is photo heavy, all beneath the cut! :)

Podium Cafe I stalked the Tour of Britain Stage 1

Yes, Scunthorpe- York. I might be back at university, but where I come from was a meer 20 minute drive to Scunthorpe so i couldn't resist going back for it. I went to the start line and then hauled it across to the finish line where I boiled, got sunburnt, watched some kids as young as 6 kick butt and then watched Chris Sutton kick everyone elses butts in a beautiful sprint! Obviously that's all I saw of the race itself, but it was a typical sprint day, two guys Marten Mortensen (Vacansoleil) & Thomas de Gendt (Topsport Vlaanderen) had a big gap, some TV time, picked up a jersey each and then the sprint!

Warning- The post is (very) photo-heavy and there may be one or two hottitude style photos, but not tons, promise...

Podium Cafe Tour du Limousin Stage 4 LIVE

Yep, I'm doing a ticker again for this last stage, it's been an exciting race so far, very open and with the GC still pretty tight (I've posted the top 10 after the jump) I'm expecting today to be more unpredictable. But Caisse d'Epargne won't let this go without a fight, their main rival being Xavier Florencio who is in fine form currently.

Today it's a 180km long, from Châlus to Limoges and the stage profile looks like this...

Come on in, discuss or just read, I'll have any info up as soon as it comes through...

Yes, it's that time again! Come join in the discussion as I act like a ticker, except a very random one for this third stage. Today sees riders going from St Martin de Jussac to St Junien and the stage is 189.6kms. The stage profile? Well I'll just paste it below!

Yes, sadly the rumours were true. Apparently they finalised the deal during the Vuelta a Burgos that's just concluded and he'll leave Caisse d'Epargne at the end of the season.

Bah. I was hoping he wouldn't, but I understand he's fed up of working for Valverde etc & wants to have his own shot

Hope it's ok me making this guys, I just saw there wasn't one up already! Ok, so 5 climbs, and a delicious summit finish in this Queen and last stage of Burgos. Yep, L'Equipe have called it. As a Cd'E fan I can't say I'm thrilled given the clouds from 2007, and the fact he's not doing much these days but perhaps he can pass on some sort of experience.

Hey i didn't think transfers could be announced yet? Or does no-one care since Agritubel is leaving cycling anyway..

Some moron(s) fired off three shots at riders as they descended during Stage 13. One shot hit Oscar Freire in the leg, his team doctor had to pick it out, he's ok but bruised. Julian Dean was hit in the finger, but just cut. Thankfully both are bruised but will start tomorrow.

This is crazy, why would anyone want to shoot anyone, let alone some cyclists. Hopefully the police catch them but i doubt it...

Podium Cafe Race report from my time in the US

Ok, so as most of you know I visited a friend in the USA this last week, had a blast. Always fun to get out of England and travel (even if Heathrow sucks!) and she took me to some local races. Was trying to figure out whether they're "good enough" to get a fan post, given it's Tour time and the drama that's going on but hey, small races deserve a voice so I want to give them one!

My friend took me to Bethel Crit and I went to the Cycling concepts time-trial she runs too....more after the jump...Warning-the post has a few photos, so sorry if it's slow loading..
