How Would These Rank Fantasy Wise (recent draftees)

these recent draftees from 07' draft class:

 Wieters
 Vitters
 Mills
 Moustakas
 Laporta

how would these guys be ranked for fantasy purposes? Laporta seems to stick out in my head above the rest does anyone agree? Which has the higher cieling and the best chance to get to that cieling?

right now i am ranking them

 Wieters
 Moustakas
 Laporta
 Vitters
 Mills

but i am tempted to take Laporta over both Wieters and Moustakas in a rookie draft

Thoughts on Jon Lester?

was a heralded prospect a year ago but showed bad command, had cancer now is back...

he's fairing pretty well in the minors so far showing better command then he previously had but its sample size.what do you guys think the Sox are gonna do with him?

he has 15K's in 13IP with 2BB's but its small sample size, he never really had good control and it looks like the Sox are loaded in the rotation now...

Joey Votto (struggling)

at what i thought was the best 1B prospect in the game and a good bet to go 25-20 in the bigs has struggled in the early going this year

 his line:

49AB's 7R 8H 1HR 7RBI 10BB 17K 1SB 2CS .328.286.614
is this early going struggles? is he overmatched in AAA? can any cincy homers sign in and give some type of explanation for a good looking 1B prospect.

Maybin serious early development

they really need to challenge this kid with AA now... or soon.

you really gotta love his 13/19 BB/K ratio imo.
 he's mashing .311 with 4 hr's 6 SB's.

They need to give him a challenge and move him up soon. Does anyone else agree with me on this? The Tools are there and its a real positive sign to see him develop the walks so far. the power was always there but he's showing it now.

Jeff Niemann looking seriously good

his line since coming back from injury:

 5W 5L 2.88 ERA 13GS 72IP 52H 24R 23ER 6HR 25BB 78K .201 average

i rated this kid the top pitching prospect coming out that year ahead of Verlander(and look at what he's done)

now the lone black mark on this guy is his checkered health issue. what i want to know is everyones opinion on this kid cause he looks like a right handed Hamels but bigger (stands 6'9 260!)

i just dont see enough pub or good pub on this guy and am given credit where its due. if he holds up he could challenge for a top spot within the prospect pitching lists.

Andre Ethier....

man i must admit i thought this guy had Kotsay type cieling but what hes showed this year in the minors and bigs totaly blows my mind. every time i boot up a dodger game for stats it has him hitting all the time. i thought this kid didnt project to be a .300+ hitter?

he's a pretty lefty swing to...  man the dodgers got a steal with him for bradley.

Chad Billingsley

i am wondering why this guy walks so much... his BB/K ratio thruout his minor league track record wasnt nearly this bad. he's had a good number of starts now and he's still walking more then he is k'ing batters.

for a pitcher pitching as well as he did in the PCL with the added remarks of being up there with Liriano and Verlander i must say i am somewhat disapointed with his performance. from some scouting reviews i read he was suppose to have this incredible mound presence, which i have yet to see so far as well.

what can this be attributed to or was Billingsley highly over rated as a prospect?

Future Call-up's

please list some future call up's either mid season or September for your teams.

i am mainly interested in knowing if either Hughes or Bailey will get a cup of coffee this year or not. with Pelfrey up just wanted to get some insight as to if there's a chance either will get a shot this year or not to see what they can do for the big club next year.

anyone else have any more predictions for any call-up's this year?

Ryan Zimmerman... thoughts so far?

Ryan Zimmermans projected power rate from the begining of the year is seeming more like he will exceed those thus far. his SLG % is slowly creeping up to and past .500 and his double/homer rate project to eclipse what most thought this year too.

 Zimmermans line thus far:

 .266/.338/.441/.778   7 2B 6 HR 21 RBI 19 R  16/34 K/BB 2 SB

that seems pretty respectable so far since i think he only has 3 errors at the hot corner.

so will his power stay on the incline? one concern i think he has is the 34k's in 143 AB's which isnt too bad but slightly high. he had a rough start there hitting around .190-.200 but he has been on a roll now for a good 2-3 weeks.

any thoughts on Ryan so far in the season? going off this what do u see him ending up at come seasons end?
