Jordon Schafer Stupid?..OH YES!!!!!

Since he was suspended 50 games two weeks ago for use of HGH many have been wondering how he got caught for a drug that has no test to detect?

Well, today on "The Beat" with Charlie Steiner, he interviewed Joe Simpson, broadcastor for the Braves, and asked him about Schafer amongst other things. He said he got caught because he would regularly brag about his use and openly take it in front of teammates. Apparently, a person told MLB to look into it and he was suspended based solely on players accounts from witnessing it.......

Now tell me, how stupid does one have to be to act in such a manner, especially nowadays?

Perhaps he wont be any good, simple because he has no smarts........

I have watched this guy closely for a year and a half now. In 2006 he had some very good games and 2007 he built on that success. In my opinion he has above average stuff and has learned to pitch. He will be 29 Years old this season entering his 4th complete season.....In my opinion he is primed to have a break out year.......

I am aware of his Home/Road splits, 2.94 Home vs. 6.37 Road. That is a huge differences....But I like his chances of being closer to Home then Away pitcher....since he plays in hitter friendly Home park. His day/Night splits are even (4.46 V 4.61)and Lefty vs Righties are even also (.252 V .254)...

Less then a hit per inning (182/179) walks are the same(62/63) but nearly 50 more innings pitched and K/9 when up too.......

I am going on record now to say Wandy is a player to grab....think Oswalt....yes I said it....Oswalt but with better K's.

Yahoo Fantasy baseball league?

Does Faketeams plan on setting up a yahoo fantasy baseball league like you did for Football. The mock drafts are nice and informative, but how bout a draft that we actually accumulate stats. . .

This last paragraph is to fill the 300 character minimum and also could you please, please, please comment on if you would join.

In my opinion Reyes, Crawford, Ichiro, Ramirez, and Sizemore are the best players to have on one's fantasy team regardless of 4x4 or 5x5. I am curious to see how others feel on this issue or do you do prefer the 3 category studs such as ARod, Pujols, Morneau and Hafner. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .?

Yankees, Blessing in Disguise?

The Yankees are now 13.5 games out of 1st place and tied(TBD) for the 3rd worse record in the AL. They have several high priced, but valueable players who will be Free Agents at seasons end. They also have NO help in their minors to replace players like, Arod, Posada, Mo, Clemens (LOL) . . .Should Cashman be selling Arod to the highest bidder for players like Andy Laroche/plus or Figgins/Wood or perhaps trying to aquire switch hitting Saltalamachia to repalce the current switch hitting Posada. I would think the Braves, LAD, LAA or even SFG would be willing to part with thier young talent.

I personally doubt that the Yankees organization has the balls to throw in the towel and face the reality of the season. . . .but maybe they will surprise and do so. . .

Any thoughts?

I am wondering what the pulse of the NLCS is . .and the World Series. I am simply routing against the Mets solely on the Omar Minaya factor of throwing money around because he has it now. Now can EH please make less than 300 character requirement for poll at least. I have no more to say. . . yad yada yada
