I double space after periods as well. And always will.

This is an interesting point relating to the debate we had yesterday regarding Jones

These are all good points that I cannot, and do not wish to try to, refute.

There would be epic battles with Condor if Fowler started swooping.

Well for one thing, there are only a few major sports--generally one--happening in a city on any given moment

A slippery slope that provides no real value. I guess I just don't see where you're coming from.
Commented on Hello here is an OT on Jul 1 2014, 2:36p - 1 reply
It's not your responsibility, but there's no reason to be careless or reckless either, is there?
Commented on Hello here is an OT on Jul 1 2014, 2:30p - 1 reply
This is also a good candidate for a "slippery slope" argument, where maybe people ASSUME or have heard rumors that a guy dies
Commented on Hello here is an OT on Jul 1 2014, 1:41p
Well, you need to at LEAST go by the Netflix release date of something like that, not the actual air date

Ok. That's fine, I just disagree. We're arguing about a few total points of BABIP, I suppose.

Yeah, I like that comp better. The K/BB rates match up better.

Yeah. And he's been hitting for a solid 3 weeks or so now, after a big rough patch.
Commented on Mariners win home run derby, wallop Astros 10-4 on Jul 1 2014, 1:21p - 1 reply
We are probably all way more excited about that fact that he's not a disaster in CF due to prior disasters there

I also think Davis and Pierre are REALLY lazy comparisons ("fast leadoff guy")
Commented on Mariners win home run derby, wallop Astros 10-4 on Jul 1 2014, 1:09p - 2 replies
We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I see no reason to knock 30 - 40 points off his BABIP for no real reason, aside from "most other guys are at .310"
Commented on Mariners win home run derby, wallop Astros 10-4 on Jul 1 2014, 1:04p - 3 replies
I really don't think you can fairly knock 30 points off his BABIP though.

Can you DFA a guy who is on the DL? Though to your point, I COMPLETELY glossed over him even when staring at a list of the 40 man roster

You know how we've had all this trouble developing prospects over the last decade? I have an idea, let's trade all the ones that are finally working out in return for 2 expensive years of a great player.
Commented on Mariners win home run derby, wallop Astros 10-4 on Jul 1 2014, 12:17p
No. No no no. Stanton does not have much team control left.
Commented on Mariners win home run derby, wallop Astros 10-4 on Jul 1 2014, 12:11p
I think you're being a little fatalistic based on what we've seen of him so far. Also, replacement level CFers are not that easy to come by.

Yeah, it's definitely not a plan. The M's would have to hit better. But I think it's lazy analysis to point at their pythag and suggest they should be the best team of all time (which is essentially what their pythag says).
