Gobbler Country A Few Things About Virginia Tech's Aug. 21 Scrimmage

So I am not going to lie and say I am very critical about how the team looks.  These are my observations from the average fan.  For starters, the main focus of today seemed to be offense and more specifically, red zone offense.  Tyrod Taylor played well today.  His passes were on for the most part and in the right places for his receivers.  He had a nice TD pass to Dyrell Roberts in the endzone that was in a position where only Dyrell could catch it towards the sideline.  Some say that is good, some say bad, but from the looks of it, he placed it there.  He threw one INT but it was a sick play by Bruce Taylor.  Bruce was behind the ball and was able to reach both hands out and snag it without any bobble.

Kenny Lewis Jr. did not show up for practice and has decided not to return to the program. With a full stable of tailbacks, his loss will not be felt strongly, but his leadership may be. Best of luck to Kenny in his future endeavors.
