Daily Norseman Percy

A buddy of mine and i were talking about the monday night game.

We talked about gutting the team and getting players with passion, fire.

I said Percy is safe, he is not so sure.

He thinks Percy has Moss syndrome, only practices when he wants. Misses too many practices, and most of the pre-season.

Favre didnt attend pre season practices, camps, moss took plays off.

He thinks Percy has the same attitude, chilly let him get away with it.

I have never had migraines so i dont know what he suffers.

but when he plays he plays tuff and has fire.

What do you guys think?

Is Percy the real deal?

Or does he get away with missing practice, and pre season.

Does he play when he wants to play.

Daily Norseman Why we drafted Christian Ponder

Monday, we had a company meeting at the Target field. We got to tour the field and have lunch there, it was cool. So on to the boring part, or so i thought.

Our VP of sales introduces Steve Hutchinson, and he gave a inspired speach, although unrehearsed. although i didnt mind, he seemed nervous. He handed out signed footballs to the top guys in each district. I got jobbed. lol

Then, in walks a smaller guy, it was Rick Spielmen. He gave a good speach. He spoke of not being able to be in the same room as Hutch. And asked no one call the press. lol.

He did some Q and A, on the management side, just couldnt talk abot the strike.

Some one asked why Christian Ponder at 7. He spoke of the small percentages of QBs that make it outside the first round, and even the percentages that make it big from the first round.

He spoke about the best QB prospect he has seen in 20 years was Jamarcus Russel. He had all the tools.

Just a lack of intelligence, and heart.

So he looked at all the QBs in this draft and he saw some with 1 great tool and some so so. When he looked at Christian Ponder he saw  a QB with all the tools pretty good, but what stood out with Christian, was his intelligence.

RIck talked about going to the military base that the DELTA train. They are the elite of the elite. and he got to witness the test they take. Rick got to tour that base, not too many civilians get to tour that base, he said that Christian took that test and scored as high as some delta troops.

Thats why Rick liked Christian so much, he has the knowledge and the heart, along with the tools to be a great QB.

I was shocked he went into all the details about his choice of QBs. It was insightful.

Then a buddy of mine asked him if he was Ted Thompson would he cut Bret Favre. lol

Rick danced and squirmed at that question.  He offered Teds cell number he could text that for my buddy, he said he cant repeat the question out loud. lol

he did stick around after our meeting and talked some more. too bad my driver was leaving or i would be asking questions.

Daily Norseman future of the vikings

can you guys and gals imagine what the offense will look like with percy harvin, all day, sidney rice, shianco is still young, jaymar johnson and the other punt returner whos name i cant remember now, the line isnt too old. if we can find a qb that doesnt throw interceptions and can run this offense. wow is all i can think of.
Is sage the answer, i dont know, tjack. they both better be taking notes of number 4 and asking questions. if sidney rice can have a great offseason and work hard others can step up also.

Daily Norseman greg lewis

A buddy of mine pointed this out to me yesterday after the epic catch.

greg lewis is the same wide reciever that caught that 4th and 26 that the eagles had against the packers, i think that was like 3 or 4 years ago.

I could be wrong but thats what he said.

I find that very interesting.

not known for much but 2 epic catches. now if its true he gets to face the pack monday.
