I grew up in Redford. A GM brat. Old man worked at Cadillac's downtown. Graduated in 82'. Moved down south. Virginia then Tennessee, where I reside. Always remember going to see the Redwings as a kid with the old man at Olympia and then to Lafayette Coney Island. Man sure do miss them dogs. Always stop down there for a couple when I'm in town. Once a year i come up to visit family in July and try to catch a Tiger game and coney's. Gotta say, Comerica is pretty but it's not Tiger Stadium. Used to bring a tear to my eye when I walked up to see the field. Every time! Don't get the same feeling with the new park. Don't understand. Big Nascar fan. The old man used to take us out to MIS every year, since i was 5yrs old. Must be where I got the notion to move down south. I've lived in East Tennessee for last 17yrs. Growing up, I always told my parents that I wanted to live in a log cabin in the mountains. Well i made it, but not soon enough for them to see it. Love it here. Picked up a little drawl over the years and my family reminds me all the time. I Love my hometown sports teams! Always will. Something about that city that you just can't replace. Sorry to see it having so many problems with economy. Hope it turns around soon. The spirit of the fans for all the teams is unmatched anywhere in the country. I know because I've been all around this country and it's amazing to be in another town and meet a Detroit fan. For all the troubles our teams have faced in the past, it's not for lack of fan support.Go Detroit!
