Pretty much I grew up in N.E.P. all my life but now live in NoPo after I graduated from the University of Portland with a B.S.M.E. (Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering). I live with my older brother in his house by pier park where we do stuff that kids my age (24) do on a regular basis, drink, go out, and have fun. I ride a 2006 CBR 600RR or drive to work out in Tigard where I am a commissioning consultant (i.e. pretty boring). I come from a big catholic family of eight kids (I have an identical twin brother) but I am agnostic. Been in catholic schools since kindergarden (Holy Redeemer, Central Catholic, U of P). Anyways, a huge Blazer fan since I was little and my parents would take me to games, loved watching Cylde the Glide and the rest of the crew in the early 90's and the later crews. I still watched the "Jail" Blazers but I could not empathaze with them.

Rudy for Marcus Thornton
Easy way to dump Rudy and keep our logjam at the 1 & 2.
+ 5 wins somehow...
David Thorpe would like to help out the big fella
Younger (Cali)
If you had an opportunity to work with any young nba player who would it be?
David Thorpe (12:49 PM)
My mind can not work that way. I love working with about anyone. But, I think I'd be able to help Oden a great deal. He's making very good progress without me, though, that's for sure.

I wanted to post something yesterday for my first ever fan post because it was my birthday (4-19-85), but unfortunately I was a little hung-over and at Sauvie’s Island catching some glorious rays. The hung-over part was the result of my buddies and I playing Sloshball (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=slosh+ball) which is essentially kickball (using baseball rules) with a keg on second base. The added rules are as follows;
1.) You must drink a predetermined amount before advancing from second (usually about a 1/3-1/2 of a keg cup).
2.) All outfielders must have a keg cup in hand while performing any catching or throwing actions with the ball of choice (soccer ball or playground ball). Failure to do so will result in disqualifying an action (catch, force out, tag out). The only time this does not apply is in the event of a SUPER CATCH (i.e. going completely horizontal in a leaping motion to catch a ball and holding the cup in your mouth but it unfortunately bursts into pieces because of the action.... or running full force into a fellow teammate in an attempt to catch the ball (which you retain) and loosing your keg cup in the resulting hilarious aftermath)
3.) The kicker is the only person that is not required to be holding a keg cup in hand, if your cup is empty you must attempt to refill or redistribute another’s beer into your cup.
4.) The game is over when the keg is dry unless there is enough of it in peoples' cups to continue to finish out the inning (a run to a local store is permitted for extra innings if the game is close and a sober person is applicable... most experienced players keep a 24 case in a designated vehicle so that driving is not necessary).
5.) Purchase a Permit from Portland Parks and Recreation to support park projects and maintenance. A mere $18 will purchase a permit to drink bottles (DO NOT USE) and cans of beer (+wine if necessary for girls) for up to 15 people for a designated amount of time. Kegs require an OLCC permit... I should look up how much that costs since we usually have a keg.... Also, this saved us on Saturday since the NoPo police decided to visit us, he was gracious enough to let a few things slide since we were not disorderly, we were respectful, and were on our last inning (the keg was very light).
6.) Have a great time, it is a game, and even with people who are very very competitive (i.e. me) it is a lot of fun.
7.) The host (with a house close by) should provide a place for people to either continue with more activities or sober up with food and beverages (i.e. BBQ, beer pong, and SHOW THE BLAZER GAME NO MATTER THE SCORE!).
An article in the New York Times, a little shout out to the people that celebrate today.
