It's time to give thanks…for beer
'Tis the season to give thanks, especially since this week is Thanksgiving. And since many of us have a couple days off from work and some extra time to imibe, it's a great time to try some new beers. And since Wednesday night is officially the biggest drinking night of the year, I thought this would be a good time to have a booze thread.
So let's use this thread to talk about your favorite drinks. What's your favorite style of beer? And what are your favorite beers (specifically).
And for those of you who do not like beer, feel free to share you favorite liquors, mixed drink recipes, or wines.
I'm always on the lookout for new beers, and I rely heavily on others' suggestions. Let's share the collective BSD booze knowledge and have some fun this week. We deserve it.
Where's my pint?

Terrelle Pryor to transfer to SEC
No, No...Terrelle Pryor is not really transferring to the SEC, but he could with all that OMG ESSS EEE SEEE SPEEEED!
According to Yahoo! Sports and Cleveland.com, Pryor ran a 4.33 40-yard dash.
His [Pryor's] 40 time was a speedy 4.33.
If that time is correct, it would make Pryor not only the fastest Buckeye, but surely one of the fastest humans on earth. Consider that a 4.33 40 is significantly faster than any quarterback has run for the electronic clocks at the NFL Combine in the last four years, including Pat White (who turned in an official 4.55 in February at 197 pounds), and in fact more than a full tenth of a second faster than any running back or cornerback ran at this year's combine. Only one player at that entire event, Darrius Heyward-Bey, came in with a faster time (4.30) than Pryor's alleged 4.33. Of Pryor's six non-lineman teammates in Indianapolis -- a group that included Beanie Wells, Malcolm Jenkins and Brian Robiskie -- only one, cornerback Donald Washington, came in under 4.5 (4.49).
Some plausible (though hardly foolproof) speculation has suggested that a 4.33 is a hair faster than the time Usain Bolt turned in on the first 40 yards of his world-record 100-meter sprint in the 2008 Olympics, or than any other world-record 100-meter sprinter has turned in on the first 40 yards going back to Ben Johnson in 1988.
We can now add world's fastest man to the accolades surrounding Big-Ten preseason offensive player of the year.
.
Maybe CFB really is all about the Benjamins?
Take a look at this article found on Rivals / Yahoo! Sports. Apparently Delaware State is willing to forfeit one of it's conference games this year to go to Ann Arbor (is a whore) and play Michigan instead. From the article:
Delaware State, a I-AA program, is forfeiting a conference game to North Carolina A&T because Delaware State wants to play Michigan instead. And by "wants," I mean they have the opportunity to cash in for a bodybag appearance in Ann Arbor in mid-October. All anyone's saying is the two MEAC schools "could not agree" on a date to reschedule the game, and now NCA&T is 1-0. In May.
What say you, gents? Is a big payday worth it if you're being paid to fall down in front of a powerhouse team? (Or in front of Michigan?)
Can Delaware State pull an Appalachian State and upset the less-than-stellar Wolverines? Let's hope so. Go HORNETS!
Also, GO BACON.
ELITE 8 open thread
case anyone wants to add comments about the 2 college basketball games today, here is your thread. UConn vs. Missouri up first and Villanova vs. Pittsburgh tonight.
Also, the D2 championship game was quite awesome, with the championship being won on a buzzer beater in overtime.
Also, since I need 75 words - Everyone's favorite infomercial guy, Vince from SHAMWOW, was arrested for beating up a hooker. For the full story and mugshot goodness, check out this link.
State College 4th-best college sports town
Forbes magazine has ranked the top 10 college sports towns, and State College came in at #4.
On a related note, Forbes also ranked the 20 most valuable college football programs, and Penn State landed at #13 on that list, with a team value of $69 million.
Also noteworthy - Penn State was ranked behind Big Televen rivals tO$U (#10) and scUM (#4). Surprisingly, we also ranked lower than some stupid cocks... South Carolina Gamecocks. How does that even happen?
Who topped the list? Here's a hint...the coach is the only man in the world to have eaten every item on this website...in one sitting.
Ball State Cowards
This would have been an awesome game...too bad it won't happen now.
Penn State Bar Map Mashup
Want to find a bar showing the PSU game near you? Thanks to everyone who wrote about their favorite bar in the PSU bar post last month. I took the info listed there and created a Google Maps Mashup for each bar.
Click on any of the points of interest and get info from other BSDers about the bar, the address, and the website and food/beer specials (if available).
If you have a bar you would like to add, just post the info in the comments and I will add it to the mashup. I'm sure there are still tons of PSU bars that are not on the map.
Let me know what you think.

Evans & Koroma 'probably' back for tomorrow's game
Evans & Koroma 'probably' back for tomorrow's game, says tWWL / ESPN / the station that showed USC get beaten by the team we killed by 39 points.
75 words is the rule, 75 words makes the tool, 75 words I love beer, 75 words have no fear, 75 words long island iced tea, 75 words I have to pee.
I hate when the porto-potties overflow!

Gameday tailgates, traditions & superstitions
Kickoff is only 92 hours away, and if you're a Penn State football lunatic like me, you're already getting ready for the opener this weekend.
So what do you do for Penn State games? If you go to the games, is there anything special you do at your tailgate? Do you do shots of Jack Daniels every time some shouts "WE ARE". Or what about the food. Do you serve something unique that no other tailgate has, like Rocky Mountain oysters?
What about for away games or games that you watch at home? Do you have some lucky underwear that you wear every game? Or do you throw darts at your lucky #14 jersey every time PSU throws an interception?
Let's share some stories about the wild $hit we do on gameday.
Let's see how many posts we can start with the phrase, "This one time, when I was really drunk..."

Player Nicknames
So this topic has come up on a few threads, and I figured it's time for it to have a thread of it's own. It's time to come up with some player nicknames for the 2008 season.
Special shout out to user "BlueWhiteLife" who originally came up with the nickname suggestion.
Here are some that I have come up with. Please add to the list in the comments section and we can create a poll later to see who has the best nickname for the 2008 season.
Evan "Rolls" Royster
Josh "No pain, No" Gaines
Rich "Toot my own" Ohrnberger
Dan "Breaking the" Lawlor
Jordan "Morning" Norwood
Micky "The Schooler" Shuler
A.Q. "You sunk my Battle" Shipley
Maurice "Stairway to" Evans
Chris "Coca" Colasanti
These are just a few of the ones I thought up. Please feel free to add your own or suggest new names for the ones I've listed here. Let's have some fun with this!
PSU 5th Big 10 team in ESPN top 25 - behind MSU???
So ESPN has released their updated top 25 now that the spring games are wrapping up. Some familiar faces in the top 5, including USC, Florida, and OSU (sigh). PSU barely makes the cut at #25...behind Michigan State? WTF?
In fact, ESPN rates 4 Big 10 teams ahead of us:
OSU at #1
Illinois at #16
Wisconsin at #18
Michigan State at #24
On the plus side, scUM didn't make the list at all - surprise, surprise.
